Let's see those hearts! BBTB2 Challenge

Hello my crafty friends, I hope your Monday is going well so far. Today is chemo Monday for hubby so that's were we are. And we are supposed to get 4-6 inches of snow, I so don't want any snow!!! But it's here, so I've got to accept it. lol More snow at the end of the week is supposed to come too. Looks like winter is not going anywhere this month, but spring is right around the corner and today's temps has me excited for it to get here next month!

Monday also means that it is time for a new challenge over at BBTB2. Our oh so talented and sweet Jayne has challenged us to use a heart on our projects this week.  Well it was another one of those weekends and I didn't get to my project until early evening last night due to a hectic weekend and of course nothing went right for me when I was trying to make this card. I couldn't get the restroom people to cut to the size I wanted them too. I started off good and cut my overlay from Artbooking and it fit my 9 1/4 x 4 card base perfectly, I cut it at 9" real dial size. But when I got to those darn people, forget it, they wouldn't size up for me in relative size or real dial size. I still have no clue what I was doing wrong, but soon gave up and just cut them at the largest I could get them. Then because they were so little I had to figure out how to get them to show up more. So I got out my dies from My Creative Time to die cut this frame using the Stitched "Captured" Frame with Arrow die. Place a heart cut from a My Creative Time  Stitched Sweethearts XOXO die as well. Stamped the love sentiment using My Creative Time stamp set called Lots of Love. It's done but not done well because I was so frustrated. Not at all the card that I wanted or that was in my head, but it's what I got. And for a card that should have only taken a little while to make ended up taking forever. So to say I was frustrated was an understatement. I almost called it quits, but didn't get a project in last week, so didn't want to miss this week's challenge too. So here it is in all it's glory, the card that gave me such problems or I guess it was the machine that gave me the problems. lol Thanks for sticking with me and if you are up for the challenge, link up with us and show us your hearts using your Cricut machine! I'd like to thank you for stopping in today and hope that you have a blessed week. Crafty hugs, Brenda

I know you were frustrated with this card workup, but I gotta say, it surely doesn't show any frustration to me! It's lovely, I love your theme, and your people look right to me! You're the Cricut guru, so I sure can't give you any advice about your problems. Like I said, I like the design, I like the colors, your proportions look good to me...Heck, I think it's a fab card! So there!!! Hope the day is going ok, and that your feet are propped up! Hugs to Mr. D too. MM

I think you did such a great job with this card. Believe me I know how frustrating it can be trying to get an idea to work, sometimes. I love this overlay and your restroom people and the frame you put around them.

Hi, Brenda! Thanks so much for visiting my blog and leaving such a sweet comment. Mary told me that you're her daughter. I had such a nice time meeting her and your dad. Your card is so cute. You did a great job - you definitely overcame the difficulties you had with it. I have the Artbooking cart, but have yet to use it. I must use that overlay for Valentine's Day - thanks for the great inspiration!
