Hello Lovely

Hello friends, I hope you all had a lovely Mother's Day weekend and if you don't celebrate Mother's Day, I hope you had a lovely day with friends. Mine was beautiful and I was spoiled by Bret for both Mother's Day and for my birthday.

Here is a card I made using a practice piece from when I got my Glimmer Foiling Machine.  I cut off what wasn't so great and kept what was decent going with a tag shape. Just my photo isn't all that decent, but you can at least see what the design looks like.  Hard to see, but I embossed the background with a WR embossing folder. Use come Ohuhu alcohol markers in pale colors to add a bit of color to the flower and leaves, added a sentiment and that was it. This card was sent to my aunt in SC for Mother's Day.

I know I've been a bit MIA again, so much going on here. But I should have caught up with some of you and the rest I will be getting to soon. As always, thank you for understanding.

Crafty hugs,

Cricut Made Cards

Hello everyone, I hope your week is off to a great start. I'm still busy mowing every day or other day. I have a few things to get planted, so want to get on that here hopefully tomorrow after mowing.

I have two cards that I made using the Cricut. Both cards are plain and simple, so not much to making them. But they work for what they are needed for. It is wedding season, so my first card is a wedding card I made for a wedding Bret went to over in Philadelphia.  Looked so much prettier than the photo's look. I printed my sentiments inside and out as well as cut out the design in the white card. Attached it to mirror holographic paper and placed on black card and then a white card base.

Sorry for the blurriness of the inside, some days my hands are not steady, but you get the gist.
The wedding heart bells are printed in a pale gray, in person it was much easier to see.

Next card is a simple "box" of birthday candles birthday card. I think it is cute and will be going to Dwayne's Uncle for his birthday. Again, a print and cut card. I used some old packaging acetate for the window of the candle box. Inside sentiment is fitting as Dwayne's Uncle is in this mid 90's. Hoping his wish comes true!

As you can see, nothing fancy with these cards and not much to them, but again, they do the job.

We've been having lots of rain come through, thus why all the mowing. Here is a photo of a storm that came through, fortunate for me, I got some light rain from it but the storm part just went all the way around me. And I do mean all the way around me. Front, back and side. Luckily I had already gotten the mowing done. I enjoyed watching those storm clouds though and the darkness sure made the green of the grass and trees look even more vivid. I thought those clouds were beautiful, within safe viewing distant that is!

That's it from me. I will be trying to make it around to your blogs this week in between mowing, playing ball and other chores. So until next time, enjoy your weather and soak up the sunshine!

Bret's Easter Card

Hello crafty friends, I hope your Easter was a blessed one. Sorry I've been MIA once again. The mowing every other day, sometimes every day and spraying has kept me busy and then I fell into a long Lupus flare but still had to keep up with the mowing. I hope to start visiting and commenting again here this week since it is a rainy week and I can't mow. I will have a hay field when I can finally mow again. Such as life, too much to do myself and will have to be hired out in a few years I'm sure. But until then, it is me with Bret's help on the bigger jobs that I can't handle alone.

I have Bret's Easter card to share and then that is it for Easter from me. I have some regrets with this card. I wish I would have just kept the embossing basket weave white, but instead I used some blue ink and silver gilding wax on it. So I'm not loving that part. I'm also not good with cloud making. I definitely need more practice!

Again, I hope to start commenting this week, so hopefully I will be by to see what you've been up to in this card making community!
