Rudolph Days

Hello my crafty friends, I hope your week is going well. It's hump day so we are on a down hill slide to the weekend. It's been rainy and very dreary here, but temps have been up. One day of sun and that was yesterday. More rain to come as well as snow showers. Crazy weather but spring is definitely on it's way. I'm laid up for a bit. Fell back when we had all that ice and no I didn't fall on the ice. Fell coming up the steps out front after getting all the mail for the week it was icy. Re-injured my ribs I felt it, but it wasn't that bad. Then it just kept getting worse until it finally stopped me in my tracks. Rested last Friday all the way through to Sunday. Went to work on Monday but didn't do much. Yesterday I thought I was feeling pretty decent, still could feel the ribs, but not so bad. So I did a few things. Well paying for it now. So resting and trying to get them to heal once again.

Today is the last day for Rudolph Days over at Maureen's blog, Scraps of Life by Scrappymo!. Maureen is always such a gracious host so I hope you go check it out and play along each month. I got my cards made and thought better get them posted as this is a short month and today is the last day of the month! How did that happen?!! It's amazing how losing 3 days makes a huge difference. So without farther ado here are my cards. I made 6, 2 of each design. I think I kinda wish I would have left the plaid paper off but it's done now and so it will stay.

As always the recipe will be below. I am slowly trying to make my way around to your blogs, no notifications so having to "find" your blogs on some. Please be patient with me, I feel like such a failure in so many ways but I'm trying. lol Thank you so much for your loyalty to me and my blog. Your comments always bring much needed sunshine to my life! Have a wonderful week!

Scooting By...

Hello my crafty friends, I hope you are having a wonderful Friday! Yesterday was such a beautiful and warm day here so Miss Savannah and I took a walk. Felt good to get outside and stretch the legs some. Of course it was short lived, stayed warm this morning, but now temps are dropping and snow for tomorrow late afternoon. Hopefully it will be all snow and no freezing rain! Then the 60's maybe even 70 will come back for next week. I will take it! Savannah so wants to play Frisbee but the yard it is just to wet. So we will walk when it is nice and I'm not working.

I have three little cards for you today. They are simple in design and not very exciting I'm afraid, but kinda' cute. Or at least the image is. lol Used snippets on most of them as well, so love when I can use snippets! I love this little scooter, isn't it just so cute?!! I'd love to have a pink or yellow one to zip around on. Wouldn't that be fun?!

I think this one needs some sequins or something!

Here is some ice pictures, and even though it doesn't look real bad, it was thicker than it looked and wasn't coming up off the walkways or patio. You can see where I scraped away some light snow/freezing rain from the first go around. The second go around of all freezing rain made it impossible to scrap. So glad it is gone now. And I will end with Sleeping Beauty.

When the sun came out and shone on the ice on the trees, they just sparked like diamonds. So beautiful when viewed from inside. lol

We have the branches of this pine tree cut up real high because of the driveway, well the ice weight it down and froze it to the driveway.

Sleeping Beauty! lol No, she isn't spoiled or anything.

As always, I want to thank you for stopping by for a spell, especially with our crazy weather. I also thank you for your comments, they always bring so much sunshine to my life. If I haven't been around to your blogs, I will be soon. Not getting notifications again, and my email was hacked into so then my provider locked me out. Had to get that all straighten out! I wish these hackers would put their "talents" to better use! Recipe at the bottom as always.

Marching in the Gift

Hello my crafty friends, yep your eyes aren't deceiving you, I am back once again. Don't get to used to it as we all know it won't last. lol I had been working on some birthday cards so I can get them out in the mail. Some will be a little late, but that is me! Always seem to be late mailing cards even when I have them addressed and stamps on the envies. Why? I wish I knew!  Anyway, I have a card for you today as a sweet friend asked me to come online and play with her in making a card for a challenge she was in. So since this card fit the challenge over at TCP Tuesday #343 and because I wanted to play along at the Snippet's Playground, I thought I'd better get this post written up. I haven't ever had any Penny Black hedgehog stamps and got this set a while back, been sitting in my container as a NBUS for far to long. So I decided to get it out and play with this set.  Here is one card from it. On this card everything is a snippet but the card base.

As always, the recipe will be below. Thanks for stopping by yet another day and visiting with me a spell. You always bring much needed sunshine into my life and for that I am blessed, grateful and oh so thankful!!! See you on the next round!

Monster Hugs

Hello my crafty friends, I hope you are all well and not snowed or iced in! I am iced in. So much ice so I haven't even gotten my mail all week. Started with snow on Superbowl Sunday, then that turned to freezing rain which made a mess out of the snow. It was crunchy, but I could at least get a footing on it and got my trash out Tuesday morning. I think that morning I grabbed Monday's mail, but the rest is out in the box. Then on Wednesday, we had freezing rain again. Was supposed to have snow, but no snow came, only freezing rain. So the ice on my patio-where I have to walk to get to my garage is all ice, the driveway is all ice, the trees are all ice....so guess who isn't going anywhere?!! Roads are nice and clear though. lol I tried going out today and scrapping the ice off with the ice scrapper, but it isn't budging until it melts some. Sooo....I have some cards to share.

Well I'm at it again! Yep, I CASE'd Faith over at Daffodil Cards. She had the cutest little monster card (see it here) and I just had to case it for my Valentine's for my nephew's and one granddaughter. Please go over and check out Faith's blog, she makes the most amazing cards and even colors them digitally! I'm totally blown away at how she does that. So anyway here is my take on her monster card.

Thanks for stopping by and having a look see, your visits always bring much needed sunshine to my life! Can you believe it is almost Valentine's?!! The 13th would have been late hubby and mine's 25th anniversary. Hard to believe he has been gone for over 2 years now. I'd like to say it is better-some ways it is, some not so much so. But life goes on so I put a smile on my face and go along with it. Now I'm off to see what critter's I have in my stash as Michele wants me to play along in a challenge. I also have to get my Snippet's Playground card posted as well. Much to do so had better get busy.

I also have some things to mail out to some friends. And I will get them in the mail as soon as I can get out to the mail box! lol They are ready to go, it's just getting past the ice, which I am hoping will melt this weekend as we are supposed to be above freezing. Lord I hope so!

Donation Worthy????

Hello my crafty friends, I hope you are staying warm where ever you are. I'm back today because I need your trusted opinion on whether the start of my projects are donation worthy. You see the owners of Utz Potato Chip have a Pink Out for all women's cancers at their mansion every May. They give away lots of door prizes-well you buy a ticket for the door prizes, all for the cause. Anyway they take donations of many things to give out and I signed up to make some things to donate. I've only made a few things thus far, but starting to doubt myself on whether they are really donation worthy. So that is where I need your help. Please let me know your true feelings on whether these items are good enough to donate for this cause and if you won one of them would you be happy with any of these. Please don't worry about hurting my feelings either! I really want to know, it would hurt me more to donate something that isn't worth it. Ok?!!!

Ok here we go, this is what I have so far.

Up first are ornaments that I made to look like snowmen in little hats. I plan on making glittered ornaments with the floor polish as well and some fabric ones.

Farmhouse stuff is so in, so I made this wooden sign about home. Kept neutral because of not knowing who will get it or their color schemes.

With the "home" left over from the above project, I use it to make this shadow box. I cut out more "love" in white cardstock and stacked them to get dimension. Added the cool rustic paper and my vinyl saying and dimensional daisies. I tried to keep this neutral too because of not knowing people's color schemes.

Here it is angled so you can see the dimension of the home and daisies.

So what do you think? Are these good enough to donate to this worthy cause, would you be happy with any of these as a door prize???? Or should I scrap them and start over? Thank you my crafty friends, you are the best and I trust and value your opinions!!!
