Dance Like No One's Watching-BBTB2 Challenge

Hello my crafty friends, since hubby's fever has come down and he has started treatments again, I decided to get back on my DT. I have missed crafting and I'm rusty to say the least, but hopefully I will get back in the swing of things. Hubby's last chemo treatment was rough on him. He was feeling a little sick while getting treatment so the nurse gave him some saltines to nibble on. Got home and he promptly ran to the bathroom. I felt so bad for him. Then the nurse and pharmacy got here to get hubby's pump placed on. The pharmacy delivered the meds and then left and then the nurse got hubby set up with his pump. No sooner than she got it on him than he was back in the bathroom. When he came out he was so white, his lips were so white and it was a little scary to see. His heart rate was up of course so the nurse said she wasn't leaving until his rate was back down. So I got him settle in his recliner, covered him up because he was freezing and the nurse checked him a little later. His heart rate was back down so she left and he rested. The next morning he felt good to go so I was a thankful wife!

Today over at BBTB2 our challenge was issued by our our sweet design team sister, Emily. Her little girl is going to be starting dance soon so that is our theme, dance. I didn't know where I was going to go with this challenge. But in the end this is what I came up with. My dancing girl comes from the Cricut cartridge Shall We Dance. My mat is from Elegant Edges and I had my Explore write my sentiment using the Quarter Note cartridge.  I punched a Martha Stewart butterfly and two smaller butterflies using a Studio G punch. I added some pearls and called it done. Let's see your dance projects and make sure to use your Cricut cartridges. Can't wait to see what you do.

Thank you for taking time from your busy day to visit me, I always love to read your sweet comments-they always make my day! Crafty hugs, Brenda

Brenda, hope your husband feels better. I know how hard it is for you and for him. My husband's father is having chemo treatment since January, he has two more to go. It's tough, but there is a hope.
Your card is gorgeous! The cut is beautiful, and colors - oh, so sweet!

What a beautiful card, and I've always loved that sentiment! The image is beautiful along with the chevron dsp and The butterfly accents look perfect!
So sorry your hubby had a rough day, but hopefully those will now be behind him and he'll start feeling better soon! Take care of yourselves and happy Memorial Day!

I know how scary it can be to see your husband not feeling well. My husband has had a heart attack and heart surgery in the past. I remember when he passed out after surgery. The nurses were determined to get him up, but he looked green. I could have told them what the outcome would be. Needless to say, he passed out, not fun. Anyway, I love your dancing card. The dancing lady is such a pretty image. I love that you were able to play along!

Brenda you know I am sending prayers constantly. Hope the treatments get easier I love your card. As you know we just got back from Disney and I love how the grandkids dance to the music and singers. So precious! Hugs!

What a scary thing to have happen after you got home. I'm so glad you had a great nurse that was willing to stay until he stablized. Glad he is better now. What a perfect card for a dancer. Her daughter will love it. I'm glad you have some time now for yourself. That's important.

Oh, Brenda, my heart goes out to poor Dwayne. You really make us feel like we are there with you when you describe what's going on. I was pretty worked up when he was being sick and so thankful that the nurse stayed there for a while and that he recovered. Too scary.

Your card OTOH is not scary, it's simply lovely! I'm delighted you got back on the DT to give yourself "a happy place" to go to where you can put your mind to being creative and having some fun! Big hugs, Auntie Darnell

When I saw what the theme was for BBtB2 I pictured you and Dwayne dancing in your living room.

I'd say the direction you went with this challenge worked just beautifully. Love this graceful dancer against that pretty background. I'm really liking the sentiment lettering. THis sounds like an awesome tool to have on hand. You wow me with your Cricut and machine skills. The butterflies set just the right feel for this dancing girl and her flight of fancy. Also like the color scheme you've selected for this one. Hope by now Mr. is adjusting to the new schedule & meds, and is not so nauseated or having so many side effects. Big Hugs, Prayers too, and TFS.

Brenda,
I hope that hubby is feeling much better today. It sounds scary reading about how badly he was feeling that day and how pale he got. It is never fun to watch someone we love fall ill. Still praying for better days and better health!
Your card is so sweet. I love the colors and the little girl dancer reminds me of my little niece who does dance. I hope you have a wonderful week and hope your Memorial day weekend went well!
Hugs,
Jo

Brenda, I just keep you two in prayer daily as the days change like the waves of the ocean. So thankful Dwayne started feeling better and the nurse sounds like a God send. Your card is just lovely. I do not have that cartridge . I may just go and Subscribe for a month or two to DS. Hugs

My sweet Brenda: poor Dwayne feeling so horrible after his treatment and poor you, witnessing his distress, and feeling, I imagine, sad and helpless. I wish I was beside you, so I could give you hugs and cuddles of reassurance. So glad that the nurse stayed; she's obviously a most caring, compassionate individual (as are you!). On the positive side: excellent to hear that he was on the go the following morning. That man of yours is the epitome of strength, resilience and perseverance! My prayers, that head your way several times a day, are that you and he will be 'dancing like nobody's watching' for many years longer. I believe they'll come true! Your card is not only lovely, but a 'message' - to you, to Dwayne and to us. Dance, dance and dance! I'm ecstatic that you're carrying on with your DT tasks; doing so will give you a 'place' for your own therapy and well-being. We need you healthy, hale and hearty, the same way we need Dwayne to be! Glad your son is home (I can't believe he's already completed his first year of college! Yeeshh..time flies!) and that you have the 'extra hands' to help. Wish I were closer...I'd be over constantly!
Mega amounts of hugs and prayers, Brenda...you're such a treasure!

Funny isn't Brenda somehow we set out on a card never quite knowing where it will take us.. a quick prayer for wisdom I always finds helps :D and yes, looks great.. love the theme, well done on carrying it but so well.
Glad hubby is finally getting some pluses there, praying that life settles onto a more even keel for you both. I am fighting a bad tooth infection that is why I have been not blogging or card making much.. just do what have to do... :D
Thanks so much for popping over and for sharing.
