Miss Your Face-BBTB2 Challenge

Hello my crafty friends, a happy Monday to you all! We are supposed to have 3 to 6 inches of snow today, so much for Spring. :-(  Today I am host over at BBTB2 and I asked for my fabulous Design Team Sisters to use any card feature on any Cricut cartridge. This is a feature I rarely use and  knew I could use some inspiration.  I hope you go check out the fabulous cards my DTS made, they are awesome!! For me, I decided to send my son who is currently deployed in Afghan a card to let him know how much we miss him.  I used the Wild Card 2 Cricut cartridge along with my Spectrum Noir markers to give the hair texture and to put a nose on this poor girls face. lol I'm not an artist, but think it turned ok. At least DS will get a kick out of it. lol I used my Viva Pearl pen for the spots on the glasses and pearl earrings and glossy accents for the lenses, can't tell in the photo though. A little doodling with my white gel pen, which I'm bad at and really shouldn't try to doodle!! But once you start you have to finish. A little chalk to her cheeks and I called it done. I cut the envelope as well and put the same sentiment on the back of the envie.  I hope this puts a smile on his face when he gets it!!  It is important to keep up the spirits of the deployed soldiers in my mind.  So this will go out in today's mail to him. I hope you will check out your Cricut cartridges and make a card that is on one of your carts! When you do, please come and link it up with us, we so love when you play along!!  Thanks for looking and remember you all are awesome to me!

Boy all the doodling, chalk, nose, and detail on glasses really made this look great! When I was perusing the Wild Card 2 handbook, I kind of felt ho-hum about this card, but no more! After seeing yours, now I want to try doing something with it too! Perfect sentiment for the card for your son-I'm sure you're extremely proud of him and miss him terribly!!!
