Cardz TV Anything Goes Card Blog Hop!

Hello my crafty friends, Welcome to day 2 of the Cardz TV "ANYTHING GOES" CARD BLOG HOP!

If you have came from Cindy's blog then you are in the right place, if not please go to Cardz TV and start at the beginning of the hop.

Today the Card gals are showcasing cards made with some new stamp sets Mary has come out with on Cardz TV. They are fabulous and a must have in your library. We can make anything we want using any of the following stamp sets and you can find them all here:

Birds & Bees

Girl Talk

That's My Boy

Congratulations

Make sure to hop along with us and leave a comment because Mary is giving away 2 sets of her amazing stamps and I will be giving away a $10 gift card to your choice of one of these stores- JoAnns, ACMoore or Hobby Lobby. So grab your favorite beverage, relax and have fun hoping and getting inspired!
Here is the line up in case you get lost.

For my project today I used the Congratulations stamp set and made this graduation card for my youngest son who is graduating high school next month. I can't believe my baby will be leaving the nest in August for college. sniff sniff  I'm sure gonna miss the little turd! But good news is that he won't be far from home. Only 2 1/2 hours! Yippee!! lol I used Mary's technique for a shaker card by cutting out 8 pieces of the frame I wanted to use and glued them all together except for the 8th one. It made it nice and thick to place my red/white/blue sequins in. Why red/white/blue sequins?? Well my son's school colors are grey and maroon and that was what I intended on using until my son and I were talking. What's when I found out he preferred their athletic colors of red/white/blue. So that's what I used. My enamel dots are homemade from pony beads, they were the tiny one ones, 5 mm in size.  My sentiment on the front of my card is from the Cardz TV Congratulations stamp set. My grad hat and date is from My Creative Time. I would have used Mary's graduation set but I couldn't find one in her store. Mary, we need a stamp set for graduations. lol

On the left inside those are just 2 studio g sentiments and I used a grad cap from My Creative Time. And my sentiments on the right hand side of the card are from My Creative Time too. Like I said I would have used a graduation set from Mary had she had one. And maybe there are sets that Mary has that might have sentiments for graduation in them and I just missed them. Not sure. Thanks for stopping by today and thank you for all your kind comments! They always make me smile :-)
Just a note: This card wasn't my idea. I got this idea from here

Wow, Brenda! You've created an incredibly fabulous, classy shaker card! Love that you 'personalized' the sequins for your son, and using the MCT grad hat is the perfect special touch! I have some grad cards to create, too, so I may be cas-ing this! Be sure to add your pretty gem here to the Sequin Shaker Blog Hop happening over at Pretty Pink Posh (I made my first, and as it turned out, second, shaker cards yesterday! Yayyy me! And now, I'm addicted *grin* Guess I'll be sequin shopping...) Here's the link: http://prettypinkposh.com/2014/04/sequin-shaker-blog-hop.html (hope I got it right this time...tee hee!) Hugs~c

Fabulous graduation shaker card. That was such a great idea Mary had for layering the shapes up to give room for the sequins. I haven't tried it yet, but I will. I thinks it's fabulous that your youngest is heading off to college. Now it's time for you and hubby to enjoy each others company. It was a happy day for me when my youngest left for the Marines right after he graduated. Hubby and I have certainly made the most of our empty nest time. I hope you and your hubby do the same.

This is beyond awesome. Never made a shaker card, but you've done a terrific job on this one. B. will love it. Enjoyed reading how you adapted your pony beads..good idea. Liked that you found out the preferred colors, and the red surely brightened up the bits in the shake part too. Loved the Cricut grad hats. You're a whiz with this cricut stuff. Hope to get caught up & back in action next week. In the meantime, TFS,Hugs & Happy Sunday.
