A Lou Collins Mixed Media Case-sort of....

Hello crafty friends, I hope your weekend is off to a great start. We finally got some much needed rain. So happy about that.

I wanted to try a mixed media card following Lou Collin's tutorial and I needed a masculine birthday card. I'm not great with mixed media, but it sure was fun playing around and I'm pleased with my results for the most part. I'd tell how to make it, but most of you already know how most likely. Since I was hand delivering this card, I went ahead and used lots of foam tape. I should have used some white paint in my embossing paste, I didn't realize it was so transparent. I think I've only ever used it once and that was years and years ago. Thankfully it was still good, it just is hard to see in the photo. In real life, it shows up better. I do wish I would have left the sentiment all black, IRL it shows up better too.

I also have a giveaway that I'd like to send someone.
I accidently bought two of these stamp sets, so please let me know if you would like to be entered into a drawing for this stamp set. It is a great stamp set for mixed media. I'd love to send it to someone if anyone wants it. This is what the stamp set looks like:

That's it from me, thanks for stopping by and seeing what I've been up to. I will be around to see you soon as well.

Crafty hugs,

Last Two Valentine's

Hello crafty friends, hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's with your sweeties.

I have the last two Valentine cards to share. First one has been hot foiled. Still working with that, sometimes I get the shims right and other times I don't. I need more play I guess. But this one turned out pretty well, my first time using this foiling plate. Very simple as the foiling plates did all the work. I just ink blended the pink heart. Very simple, but pretty I think.

Had one more little piece of that red smooshed paper that I used on the Cupid card, it was barely big enough for this ampersand die. For the tail, I used some pink smooshed snippets in my stash to give the ampersand some character. The ampersand and the postage stamp mat are stacked up with 3 or more layers. The hugs and kisses sentiments are individual letter stamps made to look like a Dymo/Dyno? Labeler-I think that is what they were called, but I could be wrong. I placed them down flat.

Here you can see the thickness of the stacks.

Thanks for stopping by, I know lives are busy. If I haven't been by to see you, I will be soon. I had all three dogs for a while and I got behind with commenting. Nothing new there though!

Hope You're Feeling Loved...

Hello my crafty friends, I am back with another Cupid Valentine card. I think this one will go to Bret.

Pretty much a CASe of a card Loll made a long while back, you can see it here. I had the ink smooshed paper in my backgrounds box, just a small piece if it, so it worked out well for this. I rubbed some gold gilding wax lightly over the smooshed ink background and the black heart in Cupids hand.  I got my panel on crooked, sigh. It wouldn't be a card of mine if something wasn't wrong with it. LOL

Again, not much to this card but I do love how it turned out. Sorry again for the blurriness, I should have taken another photo, but it looked good or so I thought. Old eyes I guess. LOL

As always. thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to come and see what I'm up to. I should be by to visit you soon as well.

Cupid Kisses

Hi my crafty friends, hope your weekend has been a great one and your week is off to a good start.

I have had this cupid die in my stash since 2019 and I'm just now using this cutie! I think I forgot about him. Shameful I know. It was a gift from a sweet blogging friend, she knows who she is and I am thankful for her and this little die. I decided I wanted him to sit on some letters. But really couldn't think of what word besides love. So that is what I went with. I think he looks so cute sitting on the "L" with his foot on the "O". I used some leftover background DIO smooshed paper I had made long ago for my letters. I did stack my letters, 4 thick and the cupid is two thick, his heart is just one layer. Not much to this card, but think it is cute.

As always, thanks for stopping by, I know your time is precious. Hopefully I've been by to check out what you have been up to as well.

You Are Loved So Very Much!

Hello everyone Happy Valentine's Day to all!!! I hope that this hump day finds you well and looking forward to some Valentine Day goodness with your honey. Not much happening around here. Still trying to get the crafty space done. Dragging my feet a good bit. Yesterday would have been Dwayne's and my 24th anniversary, so feeling a bit gloomy, but this shall pass. Dwayne wanted to get married on Valentine's Day, but it fell on a Sunday in 1993, so we chose the day before. Sure wish I could turn back time, but we can't so let's move forward.

On to today's cards. They were Pinterest inspired too, well ok, not exactly inspired but I completely CASed (again) it with a few changes or add on's. You can find the original card HERE. I think that brings me up to 12 Valentine's now. Supplies listed below in the recipe area.

As always I thank you so much for visiting with me for a spell! I love you all and your comments keep joy and sunshine in my heart!

Elephants in the Room!

Hello my crafty peeps! I hope your Sunday is going well! We finally got snow here last Thursday. Can you believe it?! lol We have been so blessed in Hanover PA as we have had a  mild winter with no plowable snows, until Thursday that is. I think it will be an early spring and I'm all for that even though it hasn't been a rough winter.

So I have two adorable (at least I think so, lol) Valentines that I made for my two youngest grands. I completely CASed these cards I found on Pinterest. You can find the original HERE. They are the same but different. lol I used washi tape as well, whoot, whoot! Don't often use washi, but I love it. Ok, I think this puts me up to 10 Valentines to date!

Thanks for stopping by today and visiting with me a spell! I always love when visitors come. I will make sure to visit you too as I love visiting as well. Thanks for your sweet comments, they always bring pure sunshine and joy to my life! As always my recipe for this card is at the bottom of my post.

Love

Hello my crafty friends, are you tired of me yet?!! lol I hope not because I have more to come before I disappear once again. lol I hope your week is going well and that you are looking forward to finishing up hump day and moving on to the downward slid to the weekend.

I made two of these cards. I don't have this stamp set from SU, but a friend of mine does and she brought it a few years back and I'm just now getting around to using some of them. Well the "love" ones anyway. lol Very simple card design as I was just trying to get cards made, but hope that they aren't so plain that they are boring!! The 3 tiny red hearts are the negatives of the Simon Says heart from the first post with the stacking layers. So I think we are up to 8 Valentine cards now.

As always thanks for stopping to visit for a spell. Your comments always bring such joy and sunshine to my life!
