My Paper Crafting Tags & ATC's

Hello crafty friends, it's time for a new tag/atc challenge at My Paper Crafting. My little tag goes into my mini that I made for my friend.  It's kinda' like an instragram size tag with an opening for a small picture. I made mine into a tag instead and glued it in my mini. I used a die in my Cuttlebug to cut it out, then I used a Prima rose in the left corner and some pearls to accent the bottom of the frame. Then I took stickers that are so old  from my stash and placed in the center of the frame. I hope you like my little tag and my mini. It was a labor of love and my friend just loves it already. Thank for stopping by today and for your lovely comments. Crafty hugs!

Warning this is pic heavy!!!

The front cover of the mini

Inside (envies with note cards) cover and first page

Each page (6 total) has a flap like this and a tag in the top

The tag will hold a full size 4x6 pic with room to journal

The rest of the pages

The back cover has room for 16 pictures

The back of each page has a tag also, smaller but will hold 4 smaller pictures

Yep, I'm holding it upside down! Duh!

Brand New Challenge At Jo's Scrap Shack

Hello my crafty friends, Happy Friday to you all!! I'm not quit sure where the weeks go, but they do zoom past me!! lol Well I want to tell you about a brand new challenge going on over at my friend, Jo's blog, Jo's Scrap Shack.  Fun right?! They are called Fun Day Friday Challenge. You can win a "Top 3 Fun Friday Badge" on any of the challenges or the grand prize of stamps sets from  Mary at Cardz TV for this first challenge!!  She is giving away two stamp sets of YOUR choice to the winner of this challenge!!! I have to say that I have only a few sets of Mary's stamps, but they are awesome and I am hoping to get some more in the future!  This challenge runs from  today, May 24th to May 31st. So you will have plenty of time to join in the challenge. The random winner of Mary's stamps will be chosen on June 3rd. So come on and check out Jo's first challenge at Jo's Scrap Shack and see if you can win a badge or stamp sets!! You know we will love it if you get crafty with us!!

Jo has a design team and I am part of that team.  I won't be able to do each challenge as I have other obligations, but will be joining in ever chance I can. For Jo's first challenge we had a sketch to work with made by our own design team sister Amanda. It is a wonderful sketch and I had lots of fun with it. Although I forgot one element that was on the sketch, I was doing it from memory which if you know me at all, you know that my memory is effected at times by my Lupus so I should have taken my laptop back to my room with me. But I still think my card turned out cute.  I used one of the crafty birthday gifts I got from my awesome friend Suzanne.  And that is the new Prima Dolls.  I had so much fun paper piecing her! I used all scraps to piece her and colored with my Spectrum Noir markers. The sentiment came from My Creative Time and I used Viva Pearl Pens.  My card base is a 4x9 1/4 size, love this size card and it was perfect for my long leggy girl which is on two thicknesses of foam tape!  I hope you like my card (click on the pic to make it bigger) and I hope you will check out Jo's blog and challenge and join in with us!  Thank as always for your lovely comments and for taking the time to visit me!

Here is my take on it:

Tags & ATC's Challenge at My Paper Crafting!

Hello my crafty friends, hope you all are having a fabulous day so far!  Today at My Paper Crafting is Tags & ATC's and our challenge of Pink is continuing.  For my tag, I used a birthday present from my good friend Suzanne, she gave me two Prima Doll stamps as well as other goodies for my birthday, so I used one of the Prima Doll stamps, which I have to say I am loving these girls!!! They are addicting though, so beware! lol  I stamped my doll and then paper pieced her dress with scraps from my scrap bin, colored her in with my Spectrum Noirs and then layered her on my tag on two thickness of foam tape. For my tag, I traced the tag that comes in the packaging of the dolls.  It is about 9 1/4 inches tall by about 3 3/4 inches wide, so nice large tag!  I put pink paper as my base, then used some scraps from my scrap bin and punching the bottom with the EK Success scallop, scallop punch and then punching again with a EK Success daisy punch some white daisies. I put pearls in a bottle in the center of my daisies.  I stamped a sentiment on and called it done after added lace through my hole and tied with pink bakers twine! I have a card for tomorrow featuring this same doll, so check back tomorrow to see her! Next... to play with the other doll!! lol Now please go check out what inspirations of pink my design team sisters have for you over at My Paper Crafting.  While you are there please check out the rules and prizes and link up with us. We love when you get crafty with us and we love seeing your creations!

My Paper Crafting Challenge-Pink!

Hello my crafty friends, happy hump day to all!!  As you know if it is Wednesday that means it is a Cricut challenge over at My Paper Crafting.  Our challenge this week is PINK. I love pink, yes I'm a pink kind of girl, after living with 7 males in my house, I need my pink. lol  Actually I love all colors but am very font of pink.  So I made a little 3x3 card using a pink card base, I know it doesn't look pink in the picture but I assure you that it is, I guess my flash washed out the pink color.  It is kinda pearly paper, very pretty in person. I love this size card to grab quickly when you may need a little card for a gift or gift bag.  I put Hello Kitty with her little friend in the center of the card and stamped my border and  sentiment. When I think of pink, Hello Kitty comes to mind. lol  Go to My Paper Crafting and check out what my design team sisters have for you, lots of inspiration I assure you!  Then join in and link up with us. We love when you get crafty with us and who knows what you could win! So check us out, see the rules and the prize at My Paper Crafting.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Pass It On! BBTB2 Challenge

Hi my crafty friends, happy Monday to you all! Not sure where the weekend went but here it is Monday once again. So you know that means it's time for a new challenge at BBTB2! Our sweet and talented design team sister Sarah has a special challenge for us.  She wants us to make any project using any Cricut cartridge and PASS IT ON to brighten someone's day. Well I have a friend who has been through a lot in the last year, so I made this project to pass on to her hoping that it will brighten her day and make her smile. I made a vertical mini and you can make it out of toilet paper rolls, but I didn't, I just made my tube out of paper.  I used Straight From the Nest Cricut cartridge for my butterflies. I used black and yellow stickles on the butterflies.  The papers I used where from my stash, some from K&Co a long time ago. I love these papers but never really knew what I wanted to do with them.  So thought the years I've used a few here and there. I really love them in this mini!!  I'm not sure if I will put ribbon on yet or not, still thinking on that.  I added a magnet to the flap to keep it down, a rose from ACM (in the wedding section), a doily from My Creative Time, and some branches from the Martha Steward branch punch.  I left the inside plain for her to do what ever she wants.  Each page has a tag and there are 6 pages.  Here is a link on how to make the mini if any one is interested. Ginger from My Sisters Scrapper is an awesome mini maker, I just adore her work!!!  I hope you like this little mini, I think it is just too cute! I hope it brighten my friends day cause she so deserves some happy mail!  Go over to BBTB2 to check out the awesome inspiration  my design team sisters have for you and then follow our simple rules and link up with us! We love when you get crafty with us! Until next time...Hugs!

Wow I Can't Believe It!!!

I can't believe that I was chosen over all the ladies that applied for a position on SOUS (Stuck on U Sketches)!!! How cool is that?! What an honor to work with such talented ladies!!!  I applied for the die cut part of the DT which will be every other Friday. So much more doable for me during the summer.  With summer being busy with mowing and other summer things, I wanted something that wasn't so demanding on my time. So when I saw that SOUS was having DT calls for different parts of the design team I applied. Now never in my wildest dreams did I think I would get chosen, just the opposite actually. So imagine my surprise when I got an email from Leah telling me I was chosen!!!! Golly how did that happen?? I don't know but I'm so excited to be part of this fabulous team!!  I start in June, June the 14th will be my first post with SOUS so I hope you come and visit me and the whole SOUS Design Team! Thanks for visiting me today and sharing in my awesome news!

My Paper Crafting Digital Dessert Fridaze

Hello my crafty friends, I want to thank you all for praying for me.  It must have worked because I am finally feeling better after about 2 months.  It feels good to feel good, it feels good to be out of this flair if that was what was going on! lol  So thank you to those who said a prayer for me!!!

Now onto my project. It's Friday and you know what that means, yep weekend is here and it is time for another Digital Dessert Fridaze at My Paper Crafting!  I picked a really cute digi to send to my grandkids in NY.  Melin has the cutest digi's and if you don't want to color them she has a color digi along with a black and white digi! So when you buy the digi it comes with both!!! How awesome is that! So the digi I chose is the "I Whaley Love You" whale. Perfect to send to my grandkids to let them know how much I love them. I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color my whale in then I fussy cut him out and placed him on a side step card.  Then I used Life's A Beach Cricut cartridge to cut out some waves to place on the steps of the card and the sun from Mickey and Friends (I think) with a cute Peachy Keen face on the other side of the step card. The sun I had left over in my stash that I didn't use on another project and I thought it was perfect to put on this card. A little glossy accents on the water, eyes, and the heart spouting out and I was done.  I have some stickers to place in the with the card to send to them because what kids doesn't like stickers?! lol  So go check out what digi's my design team sisters have used, pick up your free digi today at My Paper Crafting and then get crafty with it and link up with us! You know how much we love when you get crafty with us!!

Lace Tag-Tags & ATC's at My Paper Crafting

Hello crafty friends!  Today is Tags and ATC's over at My Paper Crafting!  And our challenge with our tags or ATC's is Lace.  So I used lace on a tag to go in my anniversary book.  I used a die for my tag shape, then cut out a rose out from the Cricut cart Art Philosophy and used my MS branch punch to place behind my roses.  My sentiments come from My Creative Time and the lace is just some scrap I had in my stash as is the brad that I used in the hole with my lace. Some twine and that's it.  Go check out the awesome tags and ATC's that my design team sisters have made over at My Paper Crafting, I promise you won't be disappointed! And while you are at it, why not get crafty with us! We love it when you do!!! To find out what the rules are and what you could win check it out over at My Paper Crafting!! My PaperCrafting Challenge

Hi my crafty friends, I hope all you wonderful mother's had an awesome Mother's Day!! Mine was very nice.  I have a favor to ask of you all, I need some prayers.  I've had a rough month and a half and I need some energy and to feel well again. The Lupus is just taking so much from me right now but I am hoping that this soon passes and I can be good to go for a while once again. So please say a little prayer for me if you would. Thank you!!!

Ok now for the Cricut challenge over at My Paper Crafting is lace.  I didn't know at first if I wanted to use real lace on a project or if I wanted to use a Cricut cut that was lacy. Well I decided to go with a Cricut cut that was lacy.  I used Art Philosophy for everyone including my card base and the colors I went with are brown and yellow. I used brown stickles on my butterflies and some pearls, one pearl I colored pink with my Spectrum Noir marker.  The size of my card is a 5.5 square card. That's it, just a simply card. I hope you will go see what my DT sisters have made, you won't be disappointed at all!! Then think about linking up with us with a project of your own. To see what the rules are and what you could win, go check it out at My Paper Crafting. You know we love it when you get crafty with us!!!  As always thanks for stopping by today!

Digital Dessert Fridaze at My Paper Crafting

Happy Friday my crafty friends, since it's Friday you know that mean it's time for Digital Dessert Fridaze over at My Paper Crafting.  I used the digi called ConGRADulations.  I figured since graduations are coming up I'd make a graduation card to put in my stash.  I colored this digi with my Spectrum Noir markers and then cut out with a SB's Nesti.  I then used a ticket die and stamp for "it's your day".  My card base is a gate fold and I glued my ticket and digi on opposite sides of the gate fold base.  Then I stamped the inside with some graduation stamps.  Easy peasy, lemon squeezy! Go check out the other digi inspirations my design team sisters have for you, I promise you will be inspired and while you are at My Paper Crafting pick up your free digi that Melin gives each Friday!!!  Then think about coloring it and linking it up with us! We always love when you get crafty with us!!!

I Feel The Love Project at My Paper Crafting

Hi my crafty friends, happy hump day to ya!  Today is "I Feel the Love" over at My Paper Crafting.  Click here to read all about this month's recipient. Reggie is a wonderful dad who works hard to support his family with the finances as well as support for their daughter who has cancer for the second time! So this family could use some cards as well as lots of prayers!!  For my card, I made one for dad and I thought this card sums it up pretty good.  I used Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge for the card base, Just Because Cards for the sentiment and the radish and Beyond Birthdays for the "dad" which I welded to the sentiment from Just Because Cards using my Gypsy. My card base is 4.25 so it will fit in an A2 envie. A little seam binding bow, some twine and a little star paper button with some doodling with a bronze jell pen and I called it done.  Please consider making a card for this family and linking it up with My Paper Crafting!!! Thanks everyone!

Mom is the Best-BBTB2 Challenge

Hi my crafty friends, gosh can you believe it is Monday already?!!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, they just seem to zip by so fast.  Well since it is Monday you know that mean it's time for a new challenge over at BBTB2.  We have a guest designer today so please go check out what she has made for today's challenge.  Our challenge for this week is "Mom is the Best".  Now I have to tell you that I totally lifted my card from the Cricut Magazine that I just got.  And guess what?? Our dear sweet Jayne has a card in the magazine!!! And let me tell you this isn't the first time she was published by the Cricut Magazine!! Congrats Jayne!!!!  This cute card just caught my eye and I just had to make it because well, I'm all about times in the 50's/60's when times were simpler and mom was home to take care of the children and baked the cakes, pies and cookies. lol  I'm always in the kitchen so maybe that's why this era fascinates me. Plus I was a stay at home mom and went back to a stay at home mom. For my card I used the Cricut cart From My Kitchen and welded two of the apron shadows together and then build my card with the layers.  I used some old K&Co paper that has been in my stash forever and some seam binding that I dyed.  My flower came from the Cricut cart Flower Shoppe and my tag is from My Creative Time banner dies.  My sentiment came from an old stamp set by My Pink Stamper.  Isn't this apron so cute?!!! The green twine is from the Twinery and the thin brown twine is from SU.  This will be my MIL's card for Mother's Day.  Thanks for looking and now go see what awesome inspiration my design team sisters have for you-the projects are amazing!!  Then how about linking up your project with us, just follow our simple rules. We love when you get crafty with us and can't wait to see what you come up with. I'm always in awe at how talented all of you are!

I will chose a winner either Sunday evening or Monday morning using Random.org so make sure to leave a way for me to contact you!!! Good luck everyone and happy hopping!

Jo's blog candy!!! There is some cool stuff in this picture!

Now on to my project...
I made a mini for Jo to celebrate her 1st year anniversary of her blog.  I used the hidden hinge binding system to bind my mini. The bright and fun papers I used are from DCWV Citrus Stack.  I also used the Stampin Up tab punch for the tabs on the tags in the mini's pockets.  There is lots of room for Jo to put pictures and embellishments in this mini, she can "chunk" it up if she wants too and it will still close. On the spine there is a chain with Jo's intital and she can hand lots of fun charms on this chain as well. I hand dyed seam binding to hang on the mini with Tim Holtz distress inks. For the front cover I used the Cricut cartridge Celebrate.  I left the inside blank so Jo could embellish it how ever she wishes.  This way she can use it for whatever celebration photos she wants.  I hope you have enjoyed the wonderful projects in this hop and don't forget to follow each blog and leave a comment to win Jo's wonderful blog candy and of course my blog candy. I want to thank you for hopping with us today and celebrating Jo's 1st blogoversary and I hope you have enjoyed my mini today.  Crafty hugs!! Brenda
