Rudolph Days

Hello my crafty friends, I hope your week is going well. It's hump day so we are on a down hill slide to the weekend. It's been rainy and very dreary here, but temps have been up. One day of sun and that was yesterday. More rain to come as well as snow showers. Crazy weather but spring is definitely on it's way. I'm laid up for a bit. Fell back when we had all that ice and no I didn't fall on the ice. Fell coming up the steps out front after getting all the mail for the week it was icy. Re-injured my ribs I felt it, but it wasn't that bad. Then it just kept getting worse until it finally stopped me in my tracks. Rested last Friday all the way through to Sunday. Went to work on Monday but didn't do much. Yesterday I thought I was feeling pretty decent, still could feel the ribs, but not so bad. So I did a few things. Well paying for it now. So resting and trying to get them to heal once again.

Today is the last day for Rudolph Days over at Maureen's blog, Scraps of Life by Scrappymo!. Maureen is always such a gracious host so I hope you go check it out and play along each month. I got my cards made and thought better get them posted as this is a short month and today is the last day of the month! How did that happen?!! It's amazing how losing 3 days makes a huge difference. So without farther ado here are my cards. I made 6, 2 of each design. I think I kinda wish I would have left the plaid paper off but it's done now and so it will stay.

As always the recipe will be below. I am slowly trying to make my way around to your blogs, no notifications so having to "find" your blogs on some. Please be patient with me, I feel like such a failure in so many ways but I'm trying. lol Thank you so much for your loyalty to me and my blog. Your comments always bring much needed sunshine to my life! Have a wonderful week!

Crafty hugs,

What brilliantly created cards and I do love their wonderful designs.
those different Tartens look perfect with the designs
So sorry to hear about your little accident tripping it sounds extremely painful.
You take care and try not to do too much before it gets better.
I know that easier said than done as there is always something or the other to do.

I won't stand for any of that nonsense failure talk now, Brenda, you hear me?! Don't make me stop this car!! We all understand when things happen that cause our visiting to stop for a while. All we care about is each other's well-being and I'm so sorry to hear you slipped on the steps and rebroke your ribs!! So, so, so painful!! You must have been flippin' mad, but there's nothing you can do but take an involuntary rest until you are finally better. I hope Savannah can get her own food and let her herself out! No? Well, that would be worthy of America's Funniest Home Videos if she could!

Your Rudy cards are sensational!! Never, ever say you should have left plaid off! I love plaid and I especially love the plaid on your designs!! Love and hugs, Auntie

So sorry to hear you have re injured your ribs. i have never broken one before, but hear that it is very painful.
I am impressed that you got so many cards made. They are all beautiful. I personally love the tartan backgrounds. Tartans are very big over here so you are definitely "on trend"!

The stamps are super and with those tartan backgrounds they looks so fresh and modern!

Thanks for taking part in the February Rudolph Days Challenge.

You are very industrious to have made all these cards, and even more impressive, since you're in pain. I definitely think you did good to use the plaid dp! It sparks up the wonderful focal image. I love this Joy set and you got some various looks with it. So pretty! I hope you get over this rib pain real quick! Smart to take it easy until you do! TFS & Hugs. MM

You are nothing close to a failure, so please stop saying that about yourself! I feel terrible that you injured your ribs and have been feeling so bad for a few days. On the bright side, I just love these cards with the beautiful plaid designs and papers, and it's the simplicity of the design and wonderful inside sentiment that caught my attention first! They're all awesome! Now please do take care of yourself and get the healing rest you need! Sending hugs and warm wishes your way!

I've been out of the loop this past year more than I care to admit, but DH takes priority, so if I can't get around to visiting and commenting, I can't worry about it. And neither should you. Life happens and we do the best we can. And to echo Darnell in my own way..."Don't make me come up there!..." We know you're there, and we know how life can make it difficult to do everything we need to, let alone want to! You just smile, REST, and get better girl! And your cards..perfect for Christmas. LOVE that plaid, so glad you couldn't second guess yourself on that aspect! The plaid adds even a bit more festiveness to your sweet cards. They are wonderful!! Sending very gentle hugs...xo Bev

Hi dear sweet hurting friend... praying fir many healing mercies!!! ASAP... please Lord.
Had huge chuckle over Darnell’s comment she’s so funny, but she right you’re no failure, we all have our tumbles the Lord takes these times to draw us closer to Him.
And I just lve the tartan it really looks great with those cards, love tartan and don’t use it enough.
I wan to also say a huge thanks for my hedgie birthday car, not sure how you knew it was my birthday as I don’t do many friends just family mostly as that’s enough for birthdays
.... BUT THANK YOU!!! I love my hedgie card.. you’re a real treasure.
The Lord bless you sis... and keep your bones strong and keep you safe from falls.
Giant but gentle prayer hugs,
Shaz in Oz.x

I'm going to start on a positive note: MAD for your plaids, and that tweed, too! JOY is not missing its O - how wonderful is that stamp?!
Staying positive: YOU are never a failure, and are a beacon of hope whenever you land in any of our mailboxes, or inboxes! No worries, and no talk of being a failure! Don't make me come over there... wait... that could be fun!
Stay strong, heal fast, and I'm looking forward to Spring, Brenda - couldn't we just use a little lounge in the sun?

I love the tartan on your cards, it makes them quite traditional. Love the insert a beautiful verse. As for feeling a failure? nah! just old age coming LOL.

I'm so sorry about your ribs, Brenda ... hope you're feeling much better by now and that taking some rest has helped ... take it easy, there is only one you! A fabulous trio of cards, the plaid backgrounds add a lovely touch of cosiness to that fabulous sentiment (one of my favourite words!). Never worry about not visiting, my friend ... we know you're there ... and that you'll come by when you can ... the priority right now is to recover! Sending gentle, healing hugs, Anita :)

Oh no Brenda ... ... so sorry to read about your ribs. Just when you thought you were back on track.

This thing called weather has a lot to answer for!!

I hope you are improving day by day.

I love the plaid background to your cards .. .. especially the one that stands at the front of the three in the first picture.

Take it easy and get well .. .. no overdoing things!
