Birthday Cards

Hello my crafty friends, I hope you are all well and healthy. We are not sure around here as Bret was told Sunday that a co-worker has Covid (there have been quite a few).  Well he gets into work this morning and now they said he and another fella has to get tested and quarantine from home while working from home until he gets the results. So he had to come back home after they made them stay for a meeting first. Not sure we understood that one?! So stay and infect other people maybe, but leave then. Makes no sense. He is going to work from his bedroom in the basement and only use the bathroom since we only have one bathroom to try and keep me as safe as possible. Happy Birthday to him!!! We knew it was bound to happen since they made them return to work last May. So keep us in your prayers if you pray please and hopefully he will test negative. He said that he was around the guy but long before he went to get tested. But that this fella probably got it from the guy he sits near as this other fella is out with it too. Sigh.

I am in birthday card mode since I need a lot of them. I wanted to try and build my stash so I don't have to make them each month. So since my mojo isn't with me at the moment nor am I in the mood to even get crafty, I went to Pinterest for inspiration. I found two designs and tried to made them my own. You can see them here and here. I got out my little Cricut Joy machine and got to work. I found a font I liked and welded together my letters to my word, then I welded together 5 of the words. Got out my Oxide inks and got inky. Then for my other card, I sliced out my word in a rectangle and cut those out in rainbow colors using snippets of paper for all the cards.  Well I guess I pretty much CASED both designs, but did it using not dies, but my little machine. Made three of each, so that give me nine extra cards. Now to make some more CAS birthday cards to add to the stash.

Did this card in two different layouts, but still the same.

As always I thank you for taking time out of your day to visit with me a spell. I always enjoy your visits and comments, they always make my day brighter! I will be by to visit you soon too.

Crafty hugs,

What a fabulous job using your cricut joy machine. Your cards are really happy and colourful and the blending on the last two look extra special. CASE cards maybe but you made them your own x. Great to make extra cards for your stash too x.
Sending positive vibes and prayers for Bret and for you Brenda x. You take care, stay safe and well x. Thinking of you and sending hugs x.

I really like these designs - they're great birthday cards for anyone and I may have to CASE your designs too! LOL So sorry your son's been exposed to the virus, keeping my fingers crossed and saying prayers that he tests negative and you don't get it either. Keeping him at the office for a meeting doesn't make sense to me either - then again, so many things don't make sense to me at all anymore. Try to stay safe and take good care!

Each fun design is sure to bring the happy to someone's birthday, Brenda.
Isn't it something that we're all saying 'negative' prayers these days? I will add you both to mine! xx

WOW! Brenda, I absolutely LOVE these rainbow coloured cards, I may even case them off you hahahaha. Love the different fonts and colours. Great cards that give impact, they'll certainly stand out on the mantle. I hadn't thought of colouring the letters, duh! I would have got different coloured card and struggled to put them together - clever gal.
I hope Bret is OK, such worrying times.
Keep safe
Faith x

Oh, no. I pray that Bret doesn't test positive now or later. Do be extra careful.

I love your happy, happy, happy cards! So colorful and perfect for any age guy or gal! A great way to build your stash!

Great cards, Brenda. I love your happy colors. You are definitely a wiz on that Cricut. You do so much with it. Love that you could make 9 cards so quickly! Well done.

Your mojo is in fine working order Brenda. Simplicity is much harder to achieve with perfection. You have created three fine examples of that.

Stay safe, stay healthy!
Hugs and Blessings,
Jim

Sorry to hear about Bert! Praying that it is negative too. We had a scare at our plant in December from the Thanksgiving holidays people we getting positive results thank goodness it wasn't anyone on 3rd shift. It's not good the waiting to find out. Praying you all stay safe too

These are great designs and I love the different colors. That makes them so cheerful. Why in the world would Bret's work make them sit in a meeting after announcing they need to be tested! That makes no sense and is inviting trouble. I hope he is okay and you are feeling better too.

Gorgeous cards Brenda - and no harm in CASE-ing other's work when you are in a slump! I take it as a complement if I am cased.
Stay safe
Blessings
