Twofer Challenge & Christmas Items

Hello my crafty friends, I have went dark for a while now. I haven't visited any of you and I'm sorry. I hope to get back at commenting again real soon. October isn't a great month for me, used to be one of my favorite months, but now I tend to struggle with it. So I kept busy working on some Christmas items and then saw the Twofer Challenge come out and thought I would have a go at it. Not very creative, but at least they are done and I'm happy with how they came out.

So many stamps that could have been used, it was hard to decide on which to use. But I finally decided on a stag. Here is my Twofer together:

I had two separate play dates with two friends. The first friend came here to make fall cards, she brought her newest stamp set from SU and I cut out a bunch of wreaths from the set. Then I used Brusho's to "doll" them all up. Used two of them on the first card after seeing this card design on Pinterest. Thought it was so pretty, so put my spin on it using my supplies.

Then for my second twofer, I added two stags and a baby deer. I thought I had a deer family, but it turns out this set had two stags instead with a baby. Not sure what that was all about, if it was an accident or what. But used what I had, so two stags and a baby is what it is. Didn't get the baby standing upright to well, but it was glued down and it wasn't coming back up. The background was made at the second friend's house. We were playing with Brusho's, Distress Oxides and pearl powders. This background was made with the Distress Oxides. I was going to save it for a Halloween card as it looked Halloweeny to me, but then I liked it behind the birch trees so used it. Do you think it looks Halloweeny??? Should I have not used it??? So that's my Twofers.

Here are the Christmas things I've been working on. Little ornament or wall hangings, whatever someone wants to use them for. Used 4" embroidery hoops, some fabric and iron on vinyl, then some little decorations. I made a dozen of them using my Cricut to cut out the iron on vinyl with and my little Mini Press to press them onto the fabric.

My next little projects were pot holders from the Dollar Tree. I want to get more, but haven't seen them back in the Dollar Tree's around me. I sure hope they get some more in soon as they are nice little gifts to have on hand for when you need a little something something. I cut the sayings out with my Cricut and once again ironed them on with my Mini Press. I will tuck a little mug cake pouch in the pocket before giving out. Might even do a vinyl mug to go with it. Definitely giving one to my mail carrier with one of the little ornaments above.

Since I've used some NBUS and Snippets, I will be off to play in the NBUS challenge and the Snippet's Playground

Well that's it from me, I hope to be by to visit you soon. Thank you for stopping by and visiting with me. I always appreciate your visit as I know everyone is busy so for you to take the time to visit me is so kind of you!

Crafty hugs,

OH! My goodness Brenda, what magnificent offering today. Your wreath and deer is gorgeous with it's gold and green, I love the wreath and the gorgeous quote! Your birch trees are fabulous, I love the colouring of the background, fab colours, with the reindeer behind a tree also. The little ornaments are a delight with their plaid and ironed on vinyl, I should do something with the vinyl too. Your oven mitts are such fun and a wonderful gift idea, I may even case your designs! You're such a clever Gal.
Hugs

You've been on my mind for a time now, so it's good to see you posting again, and WHAT an array of fabulous creations! Your NBUS is beautiful and I'm glad you actually were able to craft with a friend! The wreath is gorgeous and I think the birthday card is perfect - especially for a guy who loves to hunt! As for those little wreaths can I just say WOW!!! Those are just stunning and so creative. I love each and every one, and if I lived closer, I'd lick one so it would be mine! Hah! What a fun saying for those potholders! I'm glad you're keeping busy and creating pretty things again. I've missed you :) Hugs!

Oh, Brenda, I don't think it looks one bit 'Halloween-y!' In fact aren't the sunsets looking just like this lately? Rainy days, and then the sun comes sneaking out from under the layer of clouds? Gorgeous - and just what this deer family might witness - btw, I think that smaller stag could be a SHE with a little snip of those antlers!
I love your darling Christmas treats - there you go getting all clever with that Cricut again! Blows my mind what you can get that thing to make for you! LOve all the checks, and plaids - especially those in black and white!
What a wonderful feast for the eyes this morning - thank you, and you just take care of YOU, my sweet friend! Extra big October hugs, Brenda!

Wow, Brenda, you have been wonderfully crafty! So ... first your cards ... what a great twofer! The dolled-up-with-brusho's wreath is so rich and dimensional ... fabulous with the stately gold stag ... and I love the beautiful sentiment you chose! The blended background on your birthday card is gorgeous ... the birch forest against it is so crisp ... a perfect spot for Mr and Mrs Stag and their little fawn! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Now, your Christmas goodies ... so creative and so fabulous ... such delicious, festive patterns and images ... they'd be so at home in a glossy magazine! Bon dimanche ... hugs, Anita :)

Wow, Brenda, you have been busy. The Twofer's are great. Using the birch trees with the deer looks great as the deer hang out among the trees. Your wreath is lovely with the variegated greens. The ornaments are so cute and those potholders are the bomb. What a nice gift to have on hand for friends who drop in. I love those.

Great job on the ornaments/wall hangings! Each one so pretty and festive! And your lickable potholders are a hoot! What a terrific idea for gifts!!

Don't worry about the commenting, dear friend. I've been AWOL as of late; the guys finally came and got my old/new bedroom floor refinished, and I couldn't use my computer for the dust! I've been trying to get the room put together, so have been neglectful in my DT duties...but hopefully, I can do a little of everything from now on. Can I just say that I LOVE your Christmas card. Wowzers! It is absolutely beautiful. That stag is so majestic in gold, and the Brusho leaves on your wreath are stunning. And stop. Your background works perfectly on your birthday card! This has a nice masculine feel to it, and the birch trees are amazing. It's a great card - they both are! I'm so glad you joined us at The Twofer Challenge this month. Take care, and stay safe. xo Bev

October will soon pass Brenda x. Great use of the majestic stag for your twofer silhouette x. I love the brusho's and the wreath on your first card against the gold stag and what a beautiful sentiment x. Wonderful sunset using the oxides on your second fabulous card x. I think it looks great as a birthday card Brenda x.
I love those little 4" festive disks and they would look great hanging on a tree. Those pot holders are so thoughtful and unique and Mr postie is going to be lucky x.
Take care of yourself, look after yourself and sending hugs x.,

Oh my word Brenda - these are beautiful! Perfect for Twofers as well as the Playground of course. I had to check this one out - apparently reindeer are the only species of deer where the female also has antlers! Who knew? It's a total delight to have you in the Playground once again - I miss you!

Much love

I’m sorry that October is a hard month for you but it is nearly over now. It’s good that you have been able to keep busy crafting. Your Twofer cards are gorgeous, definitely not halloweeny. I love the decorations you’ve made and the pot holders are so sweet, and how useful too.
