Twofer Challenge & Snippet Challenge

Hello my crafty friends, I hope this day finds you all doing well! We are chilly willy this am. Our temps got into the 40's last night. Good sleeping weather for sure!

I've been working on Christmas gifts, but decided to take a break from that to make cards for the Twofer Challenge.  A fun challenge to play in and really stretches the brain as well as your stamps/dies/stencils, etc...Here are my two cards, using the same trees, but different cards:

Closer look. I see I forgot to color my bumper and mirrors with a silver colored pencil!

Pretty self explanatory as there isn't any special techniques on these cards. Dies and stamps were used and some fussy cutting on the church card. I did use all NBUS stamps and dies for these two cards, so I'm happy to have these out for a play for once!

I used some snippets as well, on my truck card my snippet was the white piece I stamped on and for my church card the snippet is the blue piece I die cut the falling snow out of. So will be going to play over that the Snippet Playground and since I've used NBUS products, I will be playing there as well. Haven't play in either in ages!!!

As always thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to stop by and visit with me. Your comments always bring me joy and sunshine! If i haven't been to see you, I will be by soon! I hope you are enjoying the fall weather, it seems to have come a tad bit early here! Hope that doesn't mean a really cold winter, but whatever it is, I will just hunker down and make the best of it!

Everyone, please stay safe this fall, wear your mask if out and about and just enjoy the fall if you are able.

Crafty hugs,

Card Recipe:
Maymay Made It -"Tailgatin'" for the truck, sentiments for the truck
"Gather Together" for the trees and church path
My Creative Time - die impression at the bottom of the truck card-reminded me of tire treads
Sunny Studio - "Christmas Chapel" for my church
AliExpress - "Falling Snow" die
                     "Religious Christmas" for the sentiment
Zigs
Distress Oxides
An old red Creative Memories marker
Snippets from my snippet stash
Silver glitter paper from my stash
Stickles
Pop dots to pop up my church scene

You made two great scenes with your Twofer trees, Brenda! I love the old pickup, even with its naked bumper and mirrors! At least I can see the sky through the windshield; that's the thing I would have missed! And your Christmas card is a beautiful classic snowy church scene. Your starry night sky is amazing and, of course, I love all the schparkle! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #31 and for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Keep well! Hugs, Darnell

Well, look at this fabulous pair! You've done a fabulous job with your Twofer, Brenda, and I didn't even notice the mirrors and bumper. LOVE the little truck tooling down that country road! How cool is this card?! Just darling. And your Christmas card...What a lovely scene you've created. This reminds me of my little church on Christmas Eve here in town. Love this one, too. It's beautiful. Perfect use of trees on both cards. You go girl!! Thanks for joining us at The Twofer Challenge. Stay safe. xo Bev

Oh Brenda, these cards are just too clever! I love the plaid truck - it's such a cute and fun idea to make that truck plaid! The little church in the snow looks amazing with all the sparkly snow on the ground! Great ideas for the Twofer! I woke up in the middle of the night to close the window and by the time I got up this morning, I had to turn the heat on for a while to warm things up! It was wonderful but I'm surprised that it got that cold that quickly! I just had the a/c on 2 days ago! LOL

Definitely thinking outside the box Brenda, both are fabulous cards, so different but using the same trees, so VERY clever. I'm in awe.

I'll come back to comment on your cards Brenda but wanted to let you know about the email you got with three blog posts in. I'm hoping that in future it will only be the latest post you get, if not then I can reduce the settings further. Feedburner might have been playing catch up by sending all three which it wouldn't have previously sent - I'm assuming it flags posts in some sort of way when it send them but who knows the mysteries of Google!! Thanks so much for letting me know!

Love

Hi Brenda

Great use of your tree stamps and beautiful finished cards too!

Love the the thought of sending a "pick-up" card .. .. I am sure there are lots of people out there who would really appreciate a card like this.

We are being quite lucky with our weather at the moment. We have some lovely glimpses of sunshine at the moment .. .. and have even been promised an Indian Summer come October! That will be nice as we are likely to be locked down again by then - things are not looking to good over here on the spreading the virus front!!!

Stay safe Brenda and enjoy your weekend.

Love Jules xx

Your Christmas card is magical with all the touches of snow and frost ... love how the stained glass windows look lit up! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)
