Twofer Challenge-Balloons!

Hello my crafty friends, I hope your week is winding down in a good way. These weeks fly by that is for sure. I pray that if you are in the path of these awful storms, you are safe and warm. I can't believe the crazy weather that has been. Also praying for those in the Brazil school shooting. We need a little good news and I wish the news would focus on good news over so much of the bad.

I wanted to try and play along with the Twofer Challenge for this month,  it is balloons. Had no clue what to do. I have many balloon stamps, but I remember a balloon cluster die cut and thought let's see what I can do with that. Well I'm happy to say that I actually thought out of the box with this die even though my cards are very simple! Very unusual for me! lol So I used my balloons as balloons, then I thought lets cut off the strings and tie part of the balloon and use the shapes as a geometric design, then my eye saw eggs. So that is what I went with. I'm sure someone else has probably thought of this, but I haven't looked. Anyway, all the supplies I used will be listed down below. I also used snippets (everything is a snippet except the card base), so will go over and join in at the Snippet's Playground.

Sorry I'm behind in my commenting once again. I haven't felt well and haven't been on the computer much. But I will be by to visit again, bare with me. As always, your comments bring so much joy and sunshine to my life and I appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to visit me!

Crafty hugs,

Awesome, Brenda!!! What a great duo! That birthday card is absolutely fun with those bright stripes and the shimmer on those dark blue ones. Love that die; it's such a fun bunch of balloons! The black panel beneath the stripes really set everything off well, too. Eggs. Nope. Didn't even cross my mind. But you! You really got outside of the box, clever girl!! Love all those pretty pastels and the balloons as eggs work perfectly. Fabulous idea. Fabulous cards! Thanks ever so much for joining us at the Twofer Challenge!! xo Bev

Your eye led you in a great direction, Brenda! Love the balloons as Easter eggs and so appropriate with Easter bearing down on us! The cluster of balloons on the festive paper can be used for so many occasions. Great job, my friend! Hope you are feeling better. Spring isn't far away.

OH! Brenda this is ingenious, definitely thinking outside the box. I wouldn't have seen it cutting off the ties. EXCELLENT and colourful cards. Well Done.

Well done, my clever friend! First, I love your simple birthday card which packs a ton of pizzazz because of that really cool schparkly striped pp for the background! I love that you kept it the star of the show by cutting your balloon silhouette in black and keeping the sentiment small, as well! As for your Easter balloon eggs, they are darling with their patterns and colors! The springtime background pp you used is beautiful, as are your clouds, and your patterned grass!

I'm sorry you haven't been feeling well and I hope it's short-lived. Thank you so much for mustering your energy to make these fun cards for Twofer Card Challenge #14! Hugs, Darnell

With love and hugs

Brenda, these cards are adorable! I LOVE the rainbow with the balloon cluster black outline. Well done!! They work perfectly together. And your egg card ... so creative, clever and FUN!! The eggs are so pretty with the individual colours and designs. Sweet sitting in the leafy grass with the beautiful blue sky with a few clouds. Perfect sunny day! And the flower frame just says the same ... sunny, happy, spring day! Great work, my friend! Thanks for playing along with us at Twofer Card Challenge! xx

I don't know why I didn't see my balloons as Easter eggs, but they're absolutely perfect! I had to go look at them again and, yes, they could have been eggs, but, nooooo, I saw ghosts -- sheesh! You are one clever crafter, Brenda! Great use of your snippets and patterned paper on both cards. I'm so glad you played along with us at Twofer and I hope you feel better by the time you read this.

You nailed this challenge once again! I have no clue where to begin with this challenge, but I'm hoping an idea strikes me before the challenge closes! Love those vertical stripes with the black balloon outlines, and making those eggs for an Easter card was really using your noodle!! Very clever, cute cards and a great Twofer to boot! Sorry you haven't been well, but hopefully some sunshine this week will help a little bit with that. If only it would warm up just a teeny tiny little bit! :)

Do hope you're feeling more yourself by now, Brenda ... and that spring is on it's way in your part of the world! What a brilliant twofer ... the birthday card is wonderfully vibrant, bright and fun ... the black outline balloons really pop (hahaha!) against the stripes! Love how you turned the balloons upside down and trimmed them to make such pretty eggs ... so clever ... and so fresh with those lovely pps! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)
