A while back, Momma Mary aka Mary from Carolina Cards sent me some brusho's for my birthday. Thanks Momma Mary, I am so loving them!!!! This first card is my first attempt at playing with them. I need to watch some videos I think, but over all I was pretty happy with the way my background turned out. I will list the colors I used in the recipe below. Oh and the brusho's and stamp set are NBUS to boot!!! Yay for using some of my NBUS! The color of my poppies are the same as the on the second card, not sure why they aren't showing like the second card. My photographing skills aren't the best, but you get the point. I embossed the flowers in clear embossing after stamping in black ink.
Remember I said I was going to try and make at least two of each card I make. Well for the most part I've held true to that, but there are a few cards that I haven't made doubles of. I'm ok with that because like I said, I've been pretty true holding myself to that goal. This one is more plan and CAS. The little white dots are Gain sent boosters (free sample) and they are really yellow in real life. lol Edited to add that the sent booster were not my idea, I got the idea from my friend Hazel over at My Card Attic. They smell so good, but I don't think I will use them much on my cards. They are so thick, so you wouldn't be able to mail them. But for hand delivery, they will be fine and will make the card smell so nice.
As always I want to thank you for stopping by and visiting a spell with me. Your comments always bring sunshine into my life making me grin from ear to ear!! Crafty hugs, Brenda

Two beautiful cards Brenda. LOVE your brushos backgrounds for both. They are fun to work with, aren't they??!! Your poppies are so pretty, great shading to give them depth and dimension. Gain boosters, who knew??!! :) Leave it to crafters to find another use for them. They look awesome! xx
Brushos! How wonderful that Mary sent you such a marvelous gift; you've certainly worked magic with them! Gorgeous backgrounds; perfect for those vibrant, stunning poppies! Gain boosters? Well, something I'd never have thought about. The scent must be amazing! You, my dear, have crafted up some incredibly gems here! Let's see...you've shown us 4 of the 10, right? Excited to see what magic will unfold with those remaining...

Very nice cards Brenda. You always so such nice work. I am glad you have been able to make some cards.
Ah, Momma Mary is good to you, Brenda, and you did her proud with your Brusho skills! These are both glorious!! I'm delighted that you made ten cards and the joy you felt from being creative really comes through in your post. That makes my heart smile!!
I also congratulate you for using so much NBUS and for the goal of making double cards. That's a goal I am constantly renewing. I don't know why it is so hard to just do two side-by-side, but it is. Partly I think it's because each card is sort of an experiment when you first have to go at it, isn't it? It seems a waste of time and product to do two if it isn't going to work out! But the truth is 99.9% of the time it does work out so I have to slap myself again and again that I didn't make two! Hammy gets a kick out that!! Love and hugs, Auntie Darnell
Ahhh, have a real weakness for poppies and this is one great stamped image coloured and used superbly Brenda..
...how very kind of Mary to send Brushos some sweet folks in blogland eh?
Thanks so much for the inspiration.

Well, you certainly WOW'd with these brusho-s! Love those backgrounds, and I'm so glad you had fun playing & creating. The poppies are just gorgeous, and look lovely in each photo. The way you've presented each of the cards, is just so, so pretty. Good JOB! It's nice to see that you're having a bit of craftiness coming back into your life once more. Brilliant idea on the Gain droplets too. Clever girl! TFS & Hugs. MM
Wow, your brusho background is so pretty. I love the soft colors of it. The poppies on both cards are just beautiful. I like the combo of red, white and black. I'm trying to use my NBUS things too. I have to many things sitting around unused. Good for you.
I love these cards, Brends.
