Flags/Banners-BBTB2 Challenge

Hello my crafty friends, I hope this Monday finds you all well and ready for a new week. It is chemo today, yes usually we go on Tuesdays, but this week Tuesday was pretty booked up, so we went with a Monday. Keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well this week at chemo. Hubby seems to be doing pretty good, those fevers are few now, which is a good sign. My ribs are healing slowly. They still hurt but not like they did, but sleeping is still a challenge. I will get there though, just time is needed and I've got that.

Trying to get back into the swing of getting crafty. I don't always do well in the summer as it seems to be a lot to do in the summer. Of course this year, we are getting washed away by all the rain. We got 7 1/2 inches of rain this past week! With 3 1/4 just on Saturday! So I won't be mowing grass for a while so that is one thing off the plate. lol Although I do love to mow the grass. Anyway we have a new challenge over at BBTB2. Our talented and so sweet design team sister, Michele, gave us the challenge of making a project using a flag or banner for the upcoming holiday. Gosh, can you believe that the 4th of July is this weekend?!! Summer is flying by and I'm not ready for that. lol My card for today is very simple, but patriotic.  I used the print and cut feature on my Explore for the girl and her flag. That's it, I told you it was simple. I don't have much mojo at times. lol But I think it is good enough to use for Hero mail in my OWH box. So I will write a letter in it to one of our Hero's. Now it is your turn, make anything with a flag or banner and link up with us. Can't wait to see what you all make!

As always, thanks for taking time from your busy schedule to stop by and visit me. I know I'm behind on making my rounds and I'm trying to get caught up a little each night. Have a wonderful week and thanks again for your sweet comments, they really do make my day! Crafty hugs, Brenda

Hi Brenda! I'm loving this card! So, so cute! As for the weather: Rain, rain go away!! I can't keep up with the weeds and there's standing water all over here! Not sure on the inch count in our neck of the woods, but I don't believe we've had as much as you!

Love this card, Brenda! I had not seen the woman with the flag cut before this week - or at least I had not noticed it. I love that! And her outfit is so stinkin' cute. Great use of flag print!!

Wow, you have had a lot of rain. Well, at least it gave you the chance to get your paper crafting on!! I hope the rain does not ruin anything you have growing!!

Hugs,
Susan

wow - first time I've seen this cut and two of you on bbtb decide to use it. Love your card and the sentiment is perfect. Glad you and your husband are getting better - I pray for both of you all the time...... Happy 4th of July. Please send rain to California.... my grass in the back is dead and the front only gets watered twice a week, and we have cut back so much to try and beat our 25% reduction.

Great work on this new toy to make the cute patriotic Missy with her flag. I really like this design too.. Love the tri-color banners placed as you've done them. A very effective CAS look and just perfect to celebrate the 4th and also for the OWH box. Inside was a very pretty design as well (and I LOVE the sentiment too!). TFS & ya'll have a great 4th of July. So happy to hear all the encouraging reports too. Hugs - MM

Oh, this is so pretty, Brenda, with those bright colors, festive images, and all that white space both outside and in!! I'm glad to hear your ribs are a little better. That has taken so long, I'm thinking you must have broken a few, poor pet. I don't know that they do anything other than wrap you, but still, I hope you take it easy for several more weeks so you don't rip them apart again. I hope Dwayne had a good chemo reaction and I hope it stops raining for SOME of your summer! Love and hugs, Auntie

The colours are perfect of course for the 4th of July.

Hope you get some relief from your ribs...you have so much on your plate rightnow, I don't like to think of you suffering any more right now.
