O' Christmas Tree-BBTB2 Challenge

Hello my crafty friends, I hope everyone had a fabulous and thankful Thanksgiving! We got our Thanksgiving Blessing in that the insurance company is going to cover hubby's new meds!!! How blessed we are!! Now I'm holding onto faith that Christmas will bring us the miracle of these pills working with little to no side effects. How wonderful that would be!

On to today's challenge at BBTB2, Jayne our sweet and talented design team sister has chosen for us to use a Christmas tree on our project today. Well after getting back home from our little VA Thanksgiving get away, I was tired and wasn't very creative, but it's done and I will share it with you all even though I'm not happy with how it came out. It is what it is. I used the AG Winter Wonderland for my tree. I didn't go by the colors that were in the book, instead opting for my tree to be green. My garland I cut from foil paper as well as my star and tree container. I used stickles on my candle flame.  A SB mat to sit my tree on sponged with gold ink, which doesn't look gold at all, so wasn't happy with that! My striped mat is from an SU Christmas paper pack from last year I believe and my Merry is a die from MCT and the Christmas is a stamp from MCT. For the inside, I put another striped mat in (both mats where die cut with MCT stitched rectangle) along with a smaller mat in which I stamped some pine boughs on. Want some more inspiration, then look no farther than my design team sisters, you will be amazed! Thanks for taking the time to visit little ole me, I do love your visits and appreciate them!! Crafty hugs, Brenda

I'm glad your prayers were answered and that the insurance is going to pay for your hubby's meds! That's reason to celebrate! So happy you enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving too, and you've made one very pretty card here today! I just love those stitched panels with the green pines and red & white diagonal stripes! The inside is just as pretty as the outside with that whimsical little tree! Well done!!

We're working on that Miracle.
I don't know what you don't like about this card. I love it. That medallion that the tree is on, is wonderful with the glimmer of your foils on this cute tree. And the candy cane paper is perfect. I like the interior also. I think it's great. TFS & Big hugs. Glad you had a good T'giving too.

Brenda, your card is beautiful! But what fantastic news. Sometimes those insurance companies really come through. Now if we can all pray up a little Christmas miracle for you what a gift that would be. Keep the faith, my friend.

So glad to hear about the insurance company coming through with your hubby's meds. That is a big blessing. Love your card. I am back to making more Christmas cards just when I thought I was done. It's fun to make them so I was drawn back to the designs. Have a great day, my dear Brenda.

Woo hoo! Cheering the news about the insurance coverage; more prayers and shiny vibes winging their way right now that the side effects are nil and the results ONLY for the best! I'm thrilled that this marvelous blessing arrived! Yayyy...As for your card: well, I think is fabulous! And being that I'm your elder, sweet dear, you 'need' to listen to me *grin* Being tired and feeling non-creative can have you seeing things through those very lenses; those of us on the other side, see something that's ever so pretty! Hope you have a chance to recharge and rejuvenate, because my friend, you have Christmas coming your way!! Hugs galore,
~c

LOVE your SWEET card. Thanks for sharing.
I am soooo happy the insurance company isn't going to burden you guys with the cost. You need to be focusing on him getting better right now not on the cost of getting him there. You are in my prayers.

Praise God for prayers answered so glad that the insurance is covering this new drug, now to prayer for it to work :) My friend I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and rested up for the holidays ahead. We all seem to have that one card that we just don't think it's up to snuff but I think you did a fine job on your card and I so love what you did to the inside of the card very festive :) Is your son enjoying the Christmas happenings here in Wmspt? I see this weekend that Montoursville has an olde time Christmas thing going on and I think I'll check it out myself :)

Popping in to let you know your comment on my gold cards has me wearing one mighty big smile! Thank you so much! I'm feeling panicked too, but I'm not sure why: we're going to my husband's folks' for Christmas, so it's not like I have meals to prepare. We're 'aiming' to see my family the weekend of the 19th, and I think that's what has me all fidget-gidget! I want to make oodles of stuff (little gift bags, etc.), but I seem phenomenally disorganized. You're right about the computer. Must. step. away!! Too funny! And with that, my dear, I'm off to work with another 'religious' set I discovered...DINOSAUR-sized hugs coming at you!
