Card Keeper-continued

Hello Cardz TV Gallery Friends! Brenda here from Friends Craftin with Friends and I'm here to show you the completed, well except for a few touches here and there, card book I made to organize all my cards in so I can get them mailed off in a timely fashion. I bound my book with my Cinch. Now since it was for me, I used 3 separate smaller o wires that I had clipped off other projects to bind my book. I hate to waste or throw away good things that can still be used. lol  When I make another one I won't do that, but for myself it was ok. My wires also got out of shape because it was different wires, but that's ok too because it is mine. Please note this is going to be pic heavy. We will start with the front cover. I used chipboard and placed my pattern paper on it.  I used DCWV Celebration paper pad for my front and back covers. Can you spot my mistake?? Yes, don't ask me what I was thinking, but I put my apostrophe between the "d & a" instead of the "a & s". LOL I saw it when I was writing up this post, so I will fix that pronto! Isn't the vintage kids so cute?  I though this was the perfect paper for my cover.

For my "date, name & event" paper, I just made this in Microsoft word and printed out on light weight cardstock. I also add some mitten and skate die cuts. Still need some sentiments on my strip for this month.

Here I used some die cut hearts and a hat and clover.

April has a chocolate bunny and some boots since it tends to be rainy in April. May has some cute daisies.

And from June to Dec. I need some die cuts yet. Will add them later.

I just love how my card keeper turned out and plan on making some for gifts. The pockets will hold quite a few cards and now all I have to do is get them made and in their correct months! Then I can turn to that month and I will be ready to just put the card in the mail. I am considering putting a pocket on the inside of the front cover to hold stamps and labels for the envelopes. I hope I've inspired you to use Card TV stamps in a different way other than cards. Below is a list of all the Card TV stamps that I used and you can get them here. I want to thank all our viewers to visiting and leaving comments, this blog would not be here if not for all our viewers. We so appreciate you all!!! Crafty hugs, Brenda

I just LOVE your card holder Brenda. You have put a lot of work into it but it pays off doesn't it ? Very clever of you to put a folder on the inside cover for stamps and labels. And yes the vintage look of the children on the front is very lovely. Great project my friend. Big hug from Veerle xxxx

This turned out so cute and it's useful. I love when we can really use our creations. You chose some great papers for each month and the die cuts are just right. This really is a fantastic project. Something I really need to make so I'll know exactly where and who my cards are for.

Brenda,
This card book is beautiful! I love that you create a space to write the person's names/dates/event and how each month has it there to help you in getting out a card to that someone special. I love the way each month has paper decorated to fit the seasons... great job on this!
Hugs,
Jo

Well this is a great organizer for your cards! I made one for myself several years ago, and it's the only way I can stay on top of things to send cards out on time! I love that yours has the occasion column along with the date and name columns. I love the big lettering too!! Great idea, and a wonderful project!

AWESOME, Brenda! Such a lovely way to keep yourself organized! If I were doing this (I should!), I'd have to honour the 'deal' I've made with my husband, so one planner for him and one for me. Then again, he'd forget to fill his out and...well, you know the rest *grin* He did, finally, mail the card for his mom today. And her birthday's today. Sheesh! Oh well, a 'late arrival', but technically, he can claim he did send it 'on time'. THANK YOU ever so much for your visits to my blog and your wonderfully uplifting comments! Sparkles galore, all from YOU! You must be getting excited: your youngest son should be heading home for Christmas break soon! I can only imagine how busy you are, getting ready for Christmas. Forget the cleaning and go straight for the baking *grin* Way more fun, and at the end, you have something to 'show' for your efforts!
Hugs to you, my sweet Brenda!

This was a lot of very creative & detailed work. You did a splendid job & turned out an awesome project. I'm liking the designs you developed for each month...so perfect. Good idea to add the space on the cover for your 'essentials'. And I didn't notice the apostrophe until you mentioned it! Great vintage look to that front cover. You can be very proud of this one...I'm proud of it too, and you for creating it. Big Hugs. MM

This is so AWESOME Brenda! What a fun way to track and hold the cards you make for those special occasions. So organized and in one spot, bravo :) Question on your pockets did you gapped them at all to fit more than one card in it? (like a gusset) Fabulous idea :)

WOWZER, Brenda, this is totally amazing. I love all the design touches and embellishments on each page. You didn't mention the size of your planner, but it looks to be good size. This is a truly efficient way to keep track of the cards you need. I recently did a box on the same order, but found I didn't really have anywhere to keep it (you know how small my place is). After seeing your book, I'm thinking this is a much better idea. Love, love, love all the different Cardz TV sentiments used throughout. I've done a couple projects lately using lots of sentiments stamped out, too. Great job on this! I'm thinking you've inspired a lot of people to get a little more organized in the new year. You inspired me, for sure! Hugs, my friend!

Oh Brenda, another great project from you. That's a great way to organize cards for mailing for all events. I love the fun papers each month and the date card for each. Great job. I can't get my cards made up ahead of time but this would be helpful to get started.

Just a quick 'hello'...I wandered over to your Pinterest boards (a place I rarely go, because I'd get lost for too many hours) and I am drooling over the cinnamon bread/bun recipes...and the raisin swirl bread. Oh myyyyyyy! YUM! Only makes sense that a sweetheart like you would have some of the best recipes for these favourites of mine that I've ever seen. Willpower? Nahhhh!

Hi, Brenda! Thank you for your kind comments on my blog! I wanted to pop over and see what you've been up to! Your card keeper is fabulous! I love how you did each month in a different colour and themed paper, but kept the same design! What a great idea - and it will help keep you organized with your cards! I think I need something like this myself!

OMGee Brenda - that is brilliant! I have been thinking that I need to sort myself out so that birthday cards go on time or early rather than late - thank you so much for sharing this - a project for me to do when I can is to create a book for me! xx
