Grateful, Thinking of You and Love Cards

Hello my crafty friends, I hope you are having a fabulous hump day! It is dreary, gloomy and rainy here. And of course this weather has me being lazy. lol Will be going with hubby in a few though to pick up his grain truck he just bought. He has to get his blood work done for chemo tomorrow too. So out in the rain we will go.

Yesterday I had a nice get together with a good friend of mine that I used to work with. She is a retired teacher and we always have so much fun crafting in my crafty room. Well yesterday we did just that and I wanted to share the three cards I made with some NBUS stuff. I've got a lot of never been used schuff and it needs to be used! These cards will be sent to Operation Write Home. My dies and stamps that I used are all from My Creative Time. Papers are some snippets and some are not.

This card is one that used paper from a new DCWV Fall and Halloween stack. The black and white paper are snippets from my drawer. All bases aren't scraps of course. Don't you just love those leaves?!! I so love them. I used foil paper from DCWV to cut them out, love that  foil paper! I used gold and a coppery color.

This card uses all scraps from my scrap draw. Plain, simple but effective I think. I may add some tiny die cut hearts though. What do you think?

I also used snippets on this one too. It's great to use up some snippets, but it looks like I haven't even touched them even though I use them all the time! I swear they are like bunnies and multiply while I sleep at night. lol I love this card, it is so cute to me. lol I don't drink coffee, but thought the flower looked great in the coffee cup.

So these are my simple cards. Why didn't I get more made you ask? Well that is simple, I was to busy socializing! lol I hope you like them and have been inspired somewhat to get crafty. Thank you for stopping by today, I so love it when you sit with me and visit for a spell. You sweet comments really make my day as well. I know I have lots of catching up to do with my own commenting and I promise I will get to your blog too, but it is doing to take me a while to get caught up. I am hoping to visit tonight and then tomorrow while hubby is getting his chemo. But I haven't forgotten about any of you!!! I'm just slow. lol Crafty hugs, Brenda

Brenda, ALL of these are fabulous! Love those leaves on the first one and the fun flowers in the coffee cup on the others. I don't drink coffee either so think a flower in the cup is precious!

Oh my, all three of these are so cute. I love the flower in the teacup. The die cut for the background is really pretty, the shape is very cool. I think if all the stampers decided to use only NBUS stuff the stamp companies would go out of business. If I never bought another thing I could craft forever!

Obviously you had a fun time - it shows in these great cards! They're all so cheerful and fun, and I especially like the red cup with that adorable piercing! Yep, I'd be adding a few tiny red hearts also :)
It's ironic - I too had a dear friend over that I worked with years ago, but I'm making a scrapbook for her, so there was no crafting time - just good old yakking, reflecting and laughing :) Life's good, eh?

All three are perfect - please don't add any more I love them as they are! They all look stitched - love that too!
I am most definitely with you on the snippets problem - no sooner do I finish one lot up then another lot appears. They definitely do have the same characteristics as those bunnies lol!
Enjoy your time socialising - that is good for the soul huni! Your pastry and pie looked yummy too - although I have never heard or eaten chicken pot pie. Hope the rest of the week is good for you both Karen x

Hello my sweet friend! I'm slower than frozen molasses in commenting these days, and I'll blame it all on work that is occupying too much of my thinking, not to mention time. Anyway, here I am, oohing and ahhing in delight at your fabulous trio of cards. You've worked magic with these MCT products, bringing them to life with your amazing creativity. Each one is perfect as is; no need to add a single 'something' else. They're smile-making, day-brightening and absolutely heart-warming. As for your crafting with your friend: I'm green with envy that I couldn't join you! I can just imagine the conversation, the laughter, the companionship and yes, the crafting. She's so blessed to have you nearby! Off to see your next post; visiting here has lifted the clouds and rain that we're enveloped in (I hope the stuff that starts with "s" stays away! Not ready for the winter boots quite yet). Hugs upon hugs~c

Crafting with friends is the BEST therapy! Avoids me having to see an actual therapist, lol! Love your fabulous cards-beautiful clean and simple look and will be much appreciated. I know EXACTLY what you mean about those scraps multiplying…..I swear I don't know where they all come from!

Well, you got THREE cards done, so that's productive in my book! And 3 very nice cards, bright & cheery & used up snippets (you should have visited the Snippets Playground, girl!). But I'll confess #1 is my fav with those luscious leaves. Glad you had a good friend to enjoy some crafty time with while it was raining. TFS & Big Hugs. MM
