Funday Friday Sketch Challenge

Hello my crafty friends, I hope this Friday finds you well. We have had a nice week with only a touch of bad weather. We even got pretty warm a few days, with a little thunder shower to boot. And the rain smelled like spring!!! Oh yes spring is right around the corner even though we have lots of snow on the ground. I can't wait to be outside a lot!!

You know if it is Friday then it is time for another challenge over at Jo's Scrap Shack. This week we have a sketch. Here is the sketch:

Our sponsors are Stamping Chef and Stamp Art Designs.  I chose a beautiful digi from Stamping Chef to color up this week since my team is showcasing their digi's. I love, love this digi and I had so much fun coloring it with my Spectrum Noir markers. My card base is a 5x5 from white card stock. I used my SB's Nestabilities for my scallop and for my circle. While my digi was in my circle die, I sponged the background with Tim Holtz Antique Linen distress ink. I even use some vintage photo to "water color" a darker color on the "faith" banner. I used some stickles on the candle flames and some glossy accents on the melting part of the candles. My sentiment is from Monday's release of 3 Twenty Stamps called Simple Sentiments. I use the masking technique to split up my words. My wavy sentiment banner is cut from a border die from My Creative Time called Fun Stitched Dies. My darker pink background paper came from the Garden Party DCWV stack. Plain light pink cardstock is my next layer that I stitched around with my black pen.  I didn't use a bow like the sketch has because there just wasn't any room on my card and I didn't think it really needed a bow. I may add some pearls or buttons yet, just have to look at it for a while to decide. lol That's it, such a simple card and simple sketch and I just love how my card came out!  I hope you enjoy it too and find some inspiration here today. Please go over to Jo's Scrap Shack and see what inspiration my design team sisters have for you. The take the sketch and make a crafty card or layout and link up with us! You know we love it when you get crafty with us! Thanks for stopping by and visiting with me today. I always love having company and hope you will come back again soon. Crafty hugs, Brenda

Simply stunning. I love the image, and you've got beautiful shading on the roses and the hands. Liked the antiquing on your scallop circle and just a real fine card. Well done, you! Hugs & TFS MM

Brenda, this is outstanding!!! WOW! Your coloring on that image is just gorgeous and love the way you did the sentiment at the bottom so it didn't take away from the beauty of the main focus. Just beautiful!

Don't know what's going on with Blogger these days but your post didn't update - so also went over and started following with Bloglovin too! It starts acting crazy sometimes! LOL!
