I'm skating in by the skin of my teeth here for the Twofer Challenge which is "your choice". I must say I thought it was even harder not having a prompt word. lol I guess I need to be told what to do! So here are my Twofer's. Simple, quick and easy. I used the palm branches on both of my cards, but thought they looked like feather's too. So that is how I went with it. I have to apologize for the photo's looking so blurry. Not sure why as my original's aren't. Must have happened in the photo editing.
So that's it. Just two very simple cards. I did try to make the feather look like it was floating downward, but didn't succeed with that. lol Maybe it doesn't make as good of a feather as I thought! Or maybe, probably, it is human error.
As always I thank you for taking time from your busy schedule to stop by and visit with me a spell. I always enjoy your visit and they always bring much sunshine to my life.

Two lovely card, Brenda and a great way to use the stamp stamp in two different ways. I must admit I found it difficult to decide on my own prompt word too for the Twofer challenge. 😉 xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect Easter card, Brenda! I love how you've used the palm branches as a frame! I think you did a great job of having the feathers floating down! That's exactly what it looks like to me! They are serene and a perfect way to say "thinking of you"! Thanks for sharing with us at The Twofer Challenge!
ReplyDeleteI really love both your wonderful QACAS designs, Brenda! And to tell you the truth, to my eye the image looks more like a feather than a palm frond so it totally works either way! I also think you really captured the feeling of the feathers floating downwards in your awesome thinking of you design! Thank you for playing in TCC #36! I hope you are keeping well and I'm glad to hear the spring temps have arrived! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteTwo great cards Brenda! I think your feathers look just like feathers! Very realistic.
ReplyDeleteWow, how clever are those cards there Brenda, really imaginative, I’d never have thought the first use was the same as second till looked properly! Feather does look floating down, from here! We are Downunder of course! And you’re hypercritical like most crafters of their own work...
ReplyDeleteYou ask if we had good weather, my post bares all, today yes! before no! Keep well dear friend you’re in my prayers each day.
Thanks for Sharing, God bless and keep you safe, and all those you love, hugs Shaz in Oz.x

You did a great job with your twofer! I love the one-layer card with the pretty frame and the fluttering branches look so pretty! I too struggled with the "your choice" this time around - I guess I need to be told what to do as well! LOL GMTA
ReplyDeleteTwo 'very simple' and very pretty cards, Brenda! and your 'feathers' are perfectly floating in my mind!
ReplyDeleteWe have rain too, and I'm so happy about it!

"...what comfort this sweet sentence gives..." I've got one of my favorite Easter hymns going through my head now! Thank you for that!! That's a striking image of our Savior, and I love how you've framed Him in palms. What a glorious Easter card. Simple, yet it says it all! Beautiful. And yes, for your 'thinking of you' card, it really does look like feathers floating down. Really a pretty, CAS design, Brenda. I love it! No 'human error' involved whatsoever. Just beauty. So happy to see you in the gallery, my friend. Thank you for joining us at The Twofer Challenge. Stay safe. xo Bev
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards, Brenda. I love that first one so much. The feathers are floating and that's what feathers do! Hope you are doing well and have your shots.
ReplyDeleteI love your floaty feathers with the thinking of you, your feather edge and the image is so very special. Really Beautiful cards Brenda. Good to hear you have the rain, we have your sun for a change. Definitely spring in the air.
ReplyDeleteKeep safe

Nicely done! Like the layout of the Jesus card. The second cards if beautiful. The feather does actually depict a falling feather, rocking back and forth as it falls. Picture it as a frame by frame picture. Nice!
ReplyDeleteHugs and Blessings,
Jim
Lovely cards Brenda :) Have a blessed Easter season
ReplyDeleteHugs my friend, Tina
What beautiful and peaceful cards and a great way to use the palm stamp Brenda .... And it looks fabulous as a feather too x. Hope the weather temperatures stay up for you x.
ReplyDeleteThe palm framed Easter card is simple, stylish and so perfect, Brenda ... He does indeed live! I love that you used the palm in an unconventional way by turning it into a floating feather on your Thinking of You card ... there's such a lovely sense of drifty movement about it! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteHi Brenda,
ReplyDelete2 wonderful Twofer designs.
Those palms do look like feaathers.
Beautifully stamped and super colour inks used too.
The second one really looks like the feathers are floating downwards too.
Thank you for your kind words on my blog.

ReplyDeleteHi Brenda
ReplyDeleteA great take on the challenge.
I think you have made your palm branch stamp looks like falling feathers perfectly .. .. well done for seeing both foliage and feathers in the same stamp!
Hope all is good with you.
Love Jules xoxox
Two beautiful cards, and yes, you did float the feathers down just perfectly. You've used the feather stamp wonderfully to create a border for this Christian image, and that card is awesome too. You do CAS very well! TFS & Big Hugs. MM
