More Stacking Layer Cards

Hello crafty friends, I have the last of my stacking layer cards to share with you. But first I wanted to post an updated picture of myself. Not that I like looking at myself but because I love to see pictures of the people I visit at their blogs. You know, you like to "see" who you are talking too, right?!! lol Please be kind, I'm not photogenic and didn't put any make up on and my 57 years are showing!!!! And I'm not good at taking selfies at all, but it is what it is! Ok, now that you know who you are talking to, let's move on shall we?

So I made a birthday card, a thank you card and a thinking of you card. I love the birthday card, the papers just glitter so in real life. Isn't that Martini glass, pick and olive so cute?! I have no clue what color a Martini is or what one tastes like. Just saying! lol

My hot air balloon I colored with my Prisma colored pencils. Wish now I would have did every other stripe. sigh Once again, some plainer (older) glitter paper behind the layers.

Colored my plane and banner with my Prisma Pencils as well. Gold glitter paper behind the layers again. And that is it from me! I hope you have enjoyed these cards. I am thankful that you stop by and visited with me a spell. You know how much I love your visits and I will be around to visit you too. I am having problems once again getting my email notifications on the blogs that I follow by email, so don't worry if I haven't been around in a while. I will be by as soon as I can. Your comments bring me much joy and sunshine to this new life of mine and is so appreciated!!!

Rudolph Day for Feb. & Snippet's Playground Challenges

Hello my crafty friends, I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday!! We are having a bright sunny day here, but it is chilly willy again and windy. Savannah doesn't know what to think now that I won't go out to play or walk. Hopefully the warm temps will make a come back soon even though for this time of year, we shouldn't have had those warm temps.

I have another stacking layer card for you today that I made for Rudolph Day. Rudolph Day is held the 25th of each month until the midnight on the last day of said month, each month but Dec. but don't quote me on the month of Dec. It's all about Christmas cards/projects and getting them done before Christmas so you can spend quality time with your family and friends at a very busy time of year. I turned this stacking layer card into a Christmas card, or at least I hope it kinda' looks like a Christmas card. I used foil cardstock or mirror paper snippets behind the cutouts. I used green, blue and a copper color. Loved how they looked! But what to do next? I went through my Christmas die's and decided on this wreath with some holly and berries. I kinda' wished I would have used a stag now, but there you have it. It is what it is. I cut the wreath from the cooper paper even though it looks gold in the photo, it isn't! The holly I cut using the same green foil paper snippets and cut the holly leaves. I didn't have any red mirror cardstock and my red glitter paper snippets where more on the pink side, so didn't really want to use them. So I went with plain old red cardstock snippet to cut the berries. No sentiment on the outside as I just don't think it lends itself to one, so it will be on the inside. I'm not quite sure I like the wreath on this card but it is done so the way it will stay. What do you think?? Should have used a stag right???? I didn't make 4 of this card, but intend to make some more here, maybe even today, but will use the stag I think. lol

As always I want to thank you for stopping by and visiting with me a spell. Your sweet comments always bring lots of joy and sunshine to my other wise dull days. So thank you!!

Since I used snippets on this card, I'm joining in over at the Snippet's Playground this week. Haven't been over and played in a while now and I miss everyone. Lots of fun at the playground and maybe you might want to join in too! All you have to do is use snippets (scraps) on your project!

I am leaving you with a photo of Savannah and Bret while he was home last weekend. And a sunset photo that was just beautiful. I was surprise that my phone got such a great photo of the sunset and accurate one as well. And the last picture was of the storm that came through yesterday bringing the cold front in. Yep, that is hail and I was thankful that I had a garage to house my car! Lots of damage around Central PA and they are even investigating to make sure there was a tornado that went through an area. Glad it wasn't here!

Misc. Cards

Hello my crafty peeps, I hope you are having a great Monday and your week is off to an amazing start!

Here are the last of the cards I made. I'm up to 20 or 21 cards now. So not bad! Actually it is very good for me as I never sit and make that many cards at a time! So I'm kinda proud of myself, but don't ask me what got into me or inspired me. I just sat down and started making. Don't know where it came from. lol I have some stacked layers to finish out into cards yet, so will get them done and show them when I'm done.

These cards care just simple. The third one, I wanted to put a strip of paper down the pattern paper on both side, but forgot and glued down my "enjoy" sentiment before putting the other one down. Dang it, and it wasn't coming up without messing up the card, so I just went with it. Nothing to really explain as what you see is what you get. lol

As always, thanks for stopping by and visiting with me for a spell, I know how hard it is to get around to all the blogs, so knowing your took time to stop at mine, well it is heartwarming for me! You bring me so much joy and brightness to my day!

Happy Birthday

Hello my crafty friends, I hope your Sunday weather is as beautiful as ours! We have had two days of beautiful, sunny, warm weather. And by warm I mean temps in the 60's. Now I know for some of you, the 60's aren't warm. But for us for this time of year, it is spring and warm! lol I know old man winter will show his face again soon, but right now I am soaking it all in. Play outside with Savannah, what a wild dog she is outside playing! I swear she is going to take me out! But really re-enforcing her training and stopping when she jumps up on me. No play if she is gonna knock me over and break my legs, arms, ribs!

The doors will soon be closing over CAS Mix Up and I wanted to join in before it did. I wasn't very creative using the corrugated cardboard as the warm weather was calling me outside. I manage to keep my card CAS enough to be eligible to play along after double checking with Loll. So for my CAS mix up, I used the required corrugated cardboard and stamping, I added die cuts and I tore my cardboard. I didn't color my image because I thought it looked better as a black and white image. I think this card will make a good masculine card as it doesn't have any frufru on it. lol Sorry I didn't get my photo edited, I was having issues and didn't have time to figure out what I was doing wrong and I know it was an error on my part!

As always I thank you for stopping by and visiting with me a spell and enjoying the beautiful weather with me. Your sweet comments always adds extra joy and sunshine to my day and I thank you for that!

Ouch!

Hello my crafty friends, I hope you are having a wonderful week! One more day before the weekend starts, hope you have a fabulous one!

I have two cards for your today, get well cards. I made three, but....mailed one off before I got a picture of it. Here, I was just using the die cut scallop frame from Gina Marie and use the negative part on the second card. I love that ban aid, don't you?! The hearts also are in the stamp and die band-aid set. Well I think I'm up to 19 cards now. Can you believe it?!!

As always I thank you for stopping by and visiting a spell. Your visits and comments always bring such sunshine and joy to my life. I will be by and visit you too soon! Any questions, please just ask in the comments or email me.

Happy Love Day

Hello my fabulous friends, I hope this Thursday finds you well and looking forward to maybe a delayed Valentine get-a-way or celebration. If not, then I hope you are able to snuggle down with your honey and enjoy a great weekend together!

These cards that I made were given to me as pre-made card bases with the "xoxo" and "heart" cut outs in them. I just jazzed them up a bit. I don't like them, but don't hate them either. Anyway they will do. I used washi tape once again to help dress them up. Wish I would have kept them more CAS but it is what it is now. sigh Well it is these first two that I don't like very well, the third card I made two of and I do love those two. I think this brings me up to 16 Valentines now.

Thanks for coming by and visiting little ole' me for a spell. I so do love visitors! Your comments really do bring me so much joy and sunshine, especially this time of year when I can be melancholy.

Edited this post cause I'm crazy and didn't know what day of the week it was! lol I was a day ahead, so I have fixed this post. Thanks Carol for letting me know! Yes, having only the dog to talk to has made me a little crazy I guess. lol Have a great Thursday!!!!

You Are Loved So Very Much!

Hello everyone Happy Valentine's Day to all!!! I hope that this hump day finds you well and looking forward to some Valentine Day goodness with your honey. Not much happening around here. Still trying to get the crafty space done. Dragging my feet a good bit. Yesterday would have been Dwayne's and my 24th anniversary, so feeling a bit gloomy, but this shall pass. Dwayne wanted to get married on Valentine's Day, but it fell on a Sunday in 1993, so we chose the day before. Sure wish I could turn back time, but we can't so let's move forward.

On to today's cards. They were Pinterest inspired too, well ok, not exactly inspired but I completely CASed (again) it with a few changes or add on's. You can find the original card HERE. I think that brings me up to 12 Valentine's now. Supplies listed below in the recipe area.

As always I thank you so much for visiting with me for a spell! I love you all and your comments keep joy and sunshine in my heart!

Elephants in the Room!

Hello my crafty peeps! I hope your Sunday is going well! We finally got snow here last Thursday. Can you believe it?! lol We have been so blessed in Hanover PA as we have had a  mild winter with no plowable snows, until Thursday that is. I think it will be an early spring and I'm all for that even though it hasn't been a rough winter.

So I have two adorable (at least I think so, lol) Valentines that I made for my two youngest grands. I completely CASed these cards I found on Pinterest. You can find the original HERE. They are the same but different. lol I used washi tape as well, whoot, whoot! Don't often use washi, but I love it. Ok, I think this puts me up to 10 Valentines to date!

Thanks for stopping by today and visiting with me a spell! I always love when visitors come. I will make sure to visit you too as I love visiting as well. Thanks for your sweet comments, they always bring pure sunshine and joy to my life! As always my recipe for this card is at the bottom of my post.

You Make My Heart Beep!

Hello my crafty friends, I hope this Friday finds you all well and excited to start the weekend! Have any fun plans for the weekend?? Not me, same ole, same ole. lol

Today's card I made 4 of. So I think that brings us up to 12 cards so far. I'm so proud of myself for getting these cards done, for getting going on making cards. Now I just have to finish my room and start my scrapbooking. That won't happen as fast as I have a lot of crap, I mean stuff. lol

I love this little 'bot, she is just so cute to me and there is a match boy 'bot too. I only used the girl one though. Once again, I used that stitched heart die to "emboss" the left side of the card. Simple once again, but I think cute. I plan on putting glossy accents on the eyes of the 'bot. I probably should put it on the arms and legs too. What do you think, just the eyes for everything but the dress??

As always I thank you for stopping by today and visiting a spell. Your comments always bring lots of joy and sunshine to my life.

Love

Hello my crafty friends, are you tired of me yet?!! lol I hope not because I have more to come before I disappear once again. lol I hope your week is going well and that you are looking forward to finishing up hump day and moving on to the downward slid to the weekend.

I made two of these cards. I don't have this stamp set from SU, but a friend of mine does and she brought it a few years back and I'm just now getting around to using some of them. Well the "love" ones anyway. lol Very simple card design as I was just trying to get cards made, but hope that they aren't so plain that they are boring!! The 3 tiny red hearts are the negatives of the Simon Says heart from the first post with the stacking layers. So I think we are up to 8 Valentine cards now.

As always thanks for stopping to visit for a spell. Your comments always bring such joy and sunshine to my life!

You Make My Heart Beat

Hello my crafty friends, I hope this Monday finds you well and eager for the new week! As promised I'm back with another card. A Valentine card. I hope you don't get sick of them as I will be having more coming. lol  I only made one of this design. I love the stitched hearts on the side of the card, so pretty in real life! I kept my Valentine's simple this year to get them done quickly. All except for two, which you will see later.

As always I thank for for stopping by and visiting for a spell. Your comments always bring a lot of joy and sunshine to my life!

Stacking Layers

Hello my crafty friends, I have been on a card making marathon! I know, you are shocked aren't you?!! I made a lot of cards, which isn't like me at all, but I was on a roll. Now if I can get on a roll like that with my craft room redo I'd have it made. lol Hopefully that will kick in better to now. I have also been babysitting my little "almost" 3 year old granddaughter on the weekends while her parent paint. Savannah loves having Trinity over because she plays with her-they wear each other out which is good for me. lol

Ok, on with the cards. I will be posting many posts by doing the cards in sections. Here are the first ones. Now I got the stacked background as an SVG file from Lori Whitlock. Love her designs!!! I fell in love with the stacked layers when Jennifer McGuire showed them but there was no way I was going to pay that much for a die. Then low and behold Lori Whitlock made SVG's like them! I was swooning and bought the whole lot! I think there is 13 in all, but don't hold me to that. I don't have all 13 here, as I only did a few of them in Valentine's. The rest I have ready to be made into another type of cards. I kept the stacking layers in all white, but I think they would look great in monochromatic colors as well and will be trying that out sometime. I put black on the backs of three of the stacked layers and love how it came out. The last two I put on a white card base keeping the card mostly white on white with a pop of red and black. I kept these simple because I wanted the focus to be on those stacking layers. So what do you think?!! Are you in love with these stacking layers as much as I am???

As always I thank you for stopping by and visiting with me for a spell! Your comments always bring joy and sunshine to my life!
