Rudolph Day Challenge

Hello crafty friends, I sure hope you are staying warm where ever you are and that the winds aren't blowing to hard. We were pretty warm for this time of year, but a cold front came in last night along with high winds. The dogs don't like the high winds. lol Me either!

Anyway, wanted to play along in the Rudolph Day challenge but needed a quick and easy card to make since I fell on Sunday, smacking my nose into the concrete paver, jamming my toe and breaking a rib. Yes, again! I tripped over a chunk of grass that had grown up between the paver's because I had my slippers on and they are to big for my feet, so I shuffle with them on to keep them on. Yes, they are going in the trash and I will get a pair that isn't so sloppy on my feet. Anyway, I was looking through Pinterest when this  dear deer card caught my eye. I thought it was so stinkin' cute and funny, so I had to CAS it. I didn't use a pom pom like the original card, but instead used homemade enamel dots. Q&CAS for sure! So I made 10 of them to go into the Christmas card stash. As you can see, there isn't much to it. lol

I am a little behind again on commenting, but I am working on it and should be by soon if I haven't already been. Thank you for stopping by a spell and visiting with me! Your comments always brighten my day and I appreciate you all so much.

  3. Oh Brenda, take care!! I too have had to 'bin' slippers that were loose, the soles worn to a slippery state, that caused problems - oops.
Love this Christmas card - that reindeer looks a real character!

I am so sorry. Your injuries sound quite sore. I hope they mend ... quickly!!!

I love your Christmas card very, very much. Might have to see if I have a die I an steal antlers from now! The design would make for a great "teeny tiny" card.

    Just you take care Brenda!

  8. This is TOO cute. How great to be able to mass produce! I too had an issue with slippers and never again will wear slippers without a rubber sole. Hope you heal quickly but ribs- Oh boy, those HURT!

  9. Oh my gosh, what a cute and fun Christmas card, and I love that super CAS design! I cannot imagine what it feels like to have broken a rib AGAIN! How many times has it been that this happened to you in a fall? You poor thing, your ribs will probably never mend properly after so many repeated breaks. I'm betting that toe hurts pretty much too. Glad you tossed the slippers away - I'm barefoot around the house because I do better with nothing on my feet. Take care and get your necessary rest. Sending healing vibes your way along with some extra hugs too!

  14. What a brilliant CAS design, Brenda and I can see why you had to CASE it. Your handmade nose is fabulous too and congratulations on adding another 10 cards to the stash! You will be so chuffed with your early start come Christmas. I'm so sorry to hear about your fall and hope the broken rib and sore nose are not too painful and heal up soon.
Hope you are having a good weekend!
    Hugs

  15. Adorable card Brenda. Good for you to make 10 ... your stash is building! So sorry to hear about your fall. You need to be more careful! Glad you got rid of those treacherous slippers. Take care and hope the rib heals quickly. xx

  16. I am going to send you a huge pack of cotton wool and you can wrap yourself up in it permanently!

Breaking a rib is so painful...Poor you! I know they don't do much anymore at the doctors, but I still believe it helps to tape them. Helps with that sharp pain you get from taking a deeper breath than usual...

Take care, Brenda, your card is so darn cute!!!

Sorry I am so late getting round to visiting. Thanks for taking part in the Rudolph Days Challenge.

  18. Brenda, your card is so cute. It made me smile. And making 10.....you are on your way to Christmas. I just finished making 20 Easter cards. Not bad since I only planned on making 1. You and I are on the ground too much. I’m hoping to not fall between now and my 6 month doctor visit. I haven’t reached that goal in almost 2 years! So maybe you and I need to move slower, watch where we are going and wear better fitting shoes! 🙂. Take care and again, I love your Rudolph card.

  19. Hi Brenda! Seeing Carol's shirt card got me thinking it's ages since you came to play in the Playground. So I hopped over to see what you're up to and read that you did a nasty 'face plant' - ouch! Hope you're feeling much better now - and that you're managing OK with this lock down,

Love and hugs, and a woff from Dudley!
