Anyway, these "kids" keep me hopping! I was told they see why I don't get anything done as I'm always up and tending to dogs. Yep, about right. But Bret is was home this past Saturday and Sunday, so I took advantage of that and was able to make a few cards to enter in some challenges. So lets get on with it!
This is for the Twofer Challenge that Auntie Darnell hosts on the 10th of each month, ending on the 24th. You make two cards with two different designs for two different occasions using the same stamps, dies or stencils. Get it? It is also the Twofer's 2nd Blogaversary! Happy Blogaversary!!!! How fun is that?! I hope it continues to grow in participants and there are many more years of the Twofer Challenge!
Here are my twofer's using hearts. Nothing special, had to do them in quick fashion so they are quick and CAS! But I am fairly happy with them. I did mess up with my one heart on the first row, go figure, but decided not to waste it and keep going. Hopefully the eye isn't drawn in to much to my boo boo.
stamped a rainbow of hearts and added a sentiment
using the same heart stamp, I added a few hearts to this sentiment
So there are my two very quick and CAS cards for the Twofer challenge. I know, really CAS, but I got the job done. I know I haven't been around to comment at all in a while. Hoping to soon, but keeping so busy with the dogs and getting out some and seeing some movies. But I will definitely try and do some commenting here soon. As always I thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to visit me and seeing what I'm up too. You are appreciated more than you know!
Card Recipe:
Tim Holtz Distress Oxides: candy apple, spiced marmalade, fossilized amber, lucky clover, faded jeans, and wilted violet to stamp my rainbow hearts
My Favorite Things: Keep on Rockin' stamp set for the heart beat sentiment
Lawn Fawn: Woodgrain Background stamp set for the heart
My Creative Time: Happy Thoughts stamps and dies for the "heartfelt" stamped sentiment and the die cut "thanks"
score board
Brenda, your hearts at the start of your heartbeat card add a nice touch of color to the bold black sentiment. Your rainbow of hearts really make the heartfelt sentiment stand out. Thanks so much for joining in at Twofer Card Challenge. So glad you had some time to craft.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to know you're busy with life in general because that helps fill empty hours - tending to the dogs and going to movies. I love your CAS twofer cards, and no one would barely notice the mishap had you not mentioned it! I wish I could go CAS more often but I keep layering until I can't layer anymore LOL Great heart cards, both of them and it's so nice to see you blogging cards again! Hopefully you'll find more time in the future to make more cards! Take care and stay warm! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYou may have been gone awhile and your cards may be super QACAS, but they're both FABULOUS designs Brenda! Your rainbow of heart thanks is so colorful & bright and your red, black & white heartbeat card with the simple scoring is perfect...love them both! Thanks so much for sharing with us at The Twofer Challenge!! :0)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, Brenda, I just finished a thank you card with a rainbow of hearts too! I still have to make my second card for the Twofer. It's good to see you back again and I hope you will have more time to stamp. I love the heart beat card, it's a great Valentine.
ReplyDeleteGreat cards, Brenda, and I don't see any boo boos! Love the rainbow of hearts and the EKG is perfect with pop of hearts! Sounds like those dogs keep you running! Hopefully they will slow down soon.
ReplyDeleteCan't find a boo-boo Brenda. What I did find was a duo of CAS delights! Your thank you card is sweet and lovely. A veritable double rainbow of hearts!! And your sentiment is placed perfectly. Love it! And your second card trips my trigger to no end. That simple sentiment with the EKG in between is waaaay cool, and then you add three pretty red hearts to it. (Reminds me of the cath lab....) And the score lines. Well girl, those finish off this beauty just right. Love this one too! Thanks so very much for joining us at The Twofer Challenge. xo Bev

Glad to see you back blogging! I haven’t posted any cards that I made over the holidays either. Just busy. Pretty cards!

Wonderful CAS cards, Brenda. A great way of using your heart stamp. xx
ReplyDeleteIt's so good to see you back on your blog, Brenda! I'm glad you are keeping well and just busy, busy with those Kids! How great that you were able to get away to Virginia for the holidays and take the Kids with you!
ReplyDeleteThank you for playing in Twofer's 2nd Blogaversary challenge as your first post back in Blogland! You know I love CASliciousness and so I'm loving both of your cards! They are both sending lovely messages. Great score lines on your first card and I love the row of rainbow hearts on your thank you card. I would NOT have noticed the boo-boo if you hadn't said and I couldn't even find it at first, lol! In fact, I don't know how you managed to only hiccup once!! Hugs, Darnell
Your two hearts cards are both adorable, Brenda. Great designs! I bet it was nice to get some time in your art studio and have a play.
ReplyDeletePuppies are a lot of work ... I get it! :) I'm sure with a bit of training from you, Maverick will chill out about his food. xx
Two wonderfully QCAS cards, Brenda! The pop of red in the hearts on that first one really draws the eye to the cool line art and sentiment ... and the colourful rainbow rows of hearts are just sweet with the crisp bold sentiment! Great to see you back ... and thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)
