Hello my crafty friends, I hope everyone is having a wonderful hump day. It is a grey cloudy one here as we get ready for some snow to come in tomorrow night. So I'm hunkering down today and tomorrow I will go out for lunch and a movie with a friend, then hunker back down as more bad weather is coming for the weekend. So y'all stay safe if you are in the path of bad weather.
I wanted to try and join in on the Twofer challenge this month. I'm happy to say I got two cards made! The prompt this month as you can see if birds. This one was a hard one at first for me, but then something pinged and away I went on making them both. As always my supplies will be listed down in the recipe section.
As always, your comments bring so much sunshine and happiness to my life. and I thank you for taking the time to visit me. Again I am behind with commenting but hope to catch up today. Happy week everyone!

Ok, if I don't spend an hour writing, I just might be your first commenter, yay! Now. Why did't I think of flamingoes?!! What a brilliant card, Brenda! I love the large black panel you've popped behind the heart and flamingoes on your first card. The pinks really stand out. And you've gone all tropical for your birthday card, too! Who wouldn't love seeing this in their mailbox??!! These are so fabulous, and I'm so happy you've joined us at the Twofer Challenge! Hope all is well with you. Bev
ReplyDeleteSomething sure did ping because these turned out fabulous! Oh, how I love the tropical look in the middle of our rainy day, and such a sweet Valentine with a bokeh heart. You did an amazing job for our Twofer Birds challenge! Thanks so much for playing along!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love both of these, Brenda!! The flamingos are fabulous!! I love the designs!! That tickled pink sentiment is perfect!! Have a great day!! Big hugs :)

What a lovely pair of cards Brenda and how different they are even though the flamingo is used on both. I love the tickled pink sentiment and the mix of green colours on the birthday card and the modern graphic look on the love card!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your film and lunch before you hunker down.
Stay safe and I hope 2019 is a good year for you.

Wowee Brenda!!
ReplyDelete.i LOVE your twofer, you’ve exclelled and covered the brief, Darnell does have us juggling about trying to stir our grey matter doesn’t she?
My problem was different design cos my card made already seemed to dictate one way. .. but then the lightbulb goes on.
So cool! Pity there aren’t real flamingoes in the wild. I was told they’re only in zoos now in Florida. Sad that.

ReplyDeleteOH Brenda, I love your twofer birds! Love the Bokeh design on the pink heart and the tropical card is so much fun with those great papers and leafy designs! You are so clever to have come up with these! I have not had the time to sit down and even think about what to make yet, but I'm sure I'll have plenty of time this weekend during the storm! Stay warm and safe indoors if possible - it's really going to get bitter cold!

You sure know how to enjoy bad weather, my friend! Your Twofer flamingos are fabulous! I love your definition love card in flamingo pink on black and go you for rocking the bokeh! (You should edit your post and enter this in Loll and Bonnie's CAS Mix Up challenge, too!) And your tropical design is the perfect setting for your second flamingo design! You know I love leaves and trees, so I'm wild about your double layers of leaves! Stay in and stay safe and stop falling down!!! Thank you for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #12! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteSo glad something pinged as both of your cards are fabulous. The flamingo image is so pretty. The first card is such a beautiful card, which I love. The sentiment and design is wonderful. The sentiment on the second card is fun and love the mix of the paper on the background and the wonderful stamping. Glorious cards, both of them.

Those two canoodling flamingo are fabulous against that bokeh heart and dramatic black background, Brenda ... puts me in mind of the start of a romantic, stylish movie! The lush forest you created for your tropical flamingo is brilliant ... great colouring ... and how much more perfect could that sentiment be! Stay warm ... and thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)
