A Painted Wood Project

Hello my crafty friends, hope your weekend if off to a great start! We had lovely weather this week, but will be going back up to hot temps on Saturday, which is ok by me as that means pool time. We added Edison lights around the pool, so it will be nice swimming in the evening hours.

While Bret had to work from home because he had Covid, I worked on a painting project. Mama Dares to DIY was selling some laser cut items and I fell in love with her truck one. So I ordered it-yep, I splurged and got it. Then I started painting it. So now I want to share it with you. It was a labor of love and I am pretty please at how it turned out.  I have it on a shelf, but would love to place it in a tiered tray when I get one. I keep missing them at the Target Bullseye spot. Dang it! lol Anyway here is my project in all it's glory.

Here's the truck. My late husband had a green truck when we first met and was dating. So I painted this one green. I have a Hobby Lobby red truck that was gifted to me for his last truck, a red one. You could pick what you wanted on the license plate, and this is what I chose since my journey changed with his passing. Not sure why the photo is blurry looking. Sorry about that!

All the accessories that can be placed in the truck bed.

And here it is ready for 4th of July!

I hope you enjoyed my little painting project. It took me quite a while to paint all of these. But I sure enjoyed doing it. I used to paint ceramics and I've missed painting, so this kind of took me back to those days, only it was flat objects.

As always, I thank you for stopping by and visiting with me for a spell. Your comments always bring sunshine to my day and I appreciate you all so much. I will be by to see you soon as well.
