Retirement Card

Hello my crafty friends, I have to apologize for not getting around lately to visit your blogs. I had picked up something and had been very sick. A bug really gets the Lupus stirred up and I get hit double whammy. Finally feeling more normal, but the tummy isn't quiet right yet and I'm moving very slow. So that is why I haven't been why to visit. Of course the issues with the septic didn't help and now issues with poor Savannah. Not sure how that will play out for her. I sure hate to lose her as I'm so attached to her now, she and Kahlua are my girls.

But lets get on to why you are here shall we?! My Stampin' Up Lady is retiring. I don't buy much SU at all, but would go once in a while to make cards, for socialization. Went more before Dwayne passed, and only a couple of times since. Anyway a bunch of us are getting a gift card for her and I was asked to make the card. This is a 5x5 square card, not mailing it so I could go with a square card.  I used all snippets to make this card, even the card base is made some a larger snippet that was given to me. So will go over to the Snippets Playground to play along.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting me for a spell, I promised I wiped down surfaces with disinfecting wipes so you won't catch my bug! As always, your comments bring rays of sunshine in my life. I will be by to visit some of you today and hopefully will catch up in a few days. Thanks for your patience with me and all that is going on in my life right now. I sure do appreciate you all even though it doesn't seem much like I do, I really do! I appreciate all your support throughout the years as well. Just seems like life is a little crazy right now and shows no signs of settle down any. So please bare with me.

Loving this wonderful spring-like card with all the little squares and images! It's perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors and when retirement comes, it gives one more time for that fun activity! Sending healing hugs for you and your beautiful dog - and hopefully your septic issues are resolved soon too! Take care!

  9. What a fun retirement card this is. Lots of cute images and how clever to make them all into a card. I hope you are feeling better now and getting back to normal. How is Savannah? I'm sorry I didn't know she was having problems. Is she on the mend now? It's so hard with pets since they can't tell us what's wrong.

  13. What a wonderful retirement card Brenda - Sue will d be delighted! Sending healing thoughts for Savannah and yourself - seems like sometimes it never rains but it pours. A man is here fiddling around with our boiler yet again right now as I type. It's a long holiday weekend coming up so I hope he manages! At least the heating par is working - it's just boiling kettles for hot water that's going on a bit too long. Still - your lovely card is so pretty - really made me smile!

    Love and hugs

  18. What a great card for your retiring SU demonstrator, Brenda! She will have plenty of time for gardening! I am so sorry to read that you have been ill and that there is something wrong with your beloved Savannah. I apologize for also being very negligent with my visiting duties with lots of stuff going on. Right now I am finally doing some catch-up while in a hotel room in Vancouver with Kevin while he's snoozing. We've been here three days and tomorrow we go over to one of the Islands for some R&R for four days and then I will stay on and play with Loll and friends for a week like I did last year. So it's been hectic getting ready to be away for so long. Please email me and let me know how you both are because it's been quite a while since you wrote this post. Love and hugs, Auntie

  19. Hi Brenda,

I'm so sorry to hear how poorly you have been and I'm pleased to hear that you're on the mend now. I know that as I get older it takes me much longer to recover from the ailments we all seem to pick up, so take care for the next few weeks until you're back to full health my friend. I do hope that the problems with Savannah are improving too!
Now onto your lovely square card. This is just a perfect retirement card! I love how you created all the little tiles and personalised it as well. I bet Sue loved it.
Take care and sending a big hug.
