Scooting By...

Hello my crafty friends, I hope you are having a wonderful Friday! Yesterday was such a beautiful and warm day here so Miss Savannah and I took a walk. Felt good to get outside and stretch the legs some. Of course it was short lived, stayed warm this morning, but now temps are dropping and snow for tomorrow late afternoon. Hopefully it will be all snow and no freezing rain! Then the 60's maybe even 70 will come back for next week. I will take it! Savannah so wants to play Frisbee but the yard it is just to wet. So we will walk when it is nice and I'm not working.

I have three little cards for you today. They are simple in design and not very exciting I'm afraid, but kinda' cute. Or at least the image is. lol Used snippets on most of them as well, so love when I can use snippets! I love this little scooter, isn't it just so cute?!! I'd love to have a pink or yellow one to zip around on. Wouldn't that be fun?!

I think this one needs some sequins or something!

Here is some ice pictures, and even though it doesn't look real bad, it was thicker than it looked and wasn't coming up off the walkways or patio. You can see where I scraped away some light snow/freezing rain from the first go around. The second go around of all freezing rain made it impossible to scrap. So glad it is gone now. And I will end with Sleeping Beauty.

When the sun came out and shone on the ice on the trees, they just sparked like diamonds. So beautiful when viewed from inside. lol

We have the branches of this pine tree cut up real high because of the driveway, well the ice weight it down and froze it to the driveway.

Sleeping Beauty! lol No, she isn't spoiled or anything.

As always, I want to thank you for stopping by for a spell, especially with our crazy weather. I also thank you for your comments, they always bring so much sunshine to my life. If I haven't been around to your blogs, I will be soon. Not getting notifications again, and my email was hacked into so then my provider locked me out. Had to get that all straighten out! I wish these hackers would put their "talents" to better use! Recipe at the bottom as always.

Crafty hugs,

  2. I love that little scooter and all the different colored cards you made by using it! Each one is cute and fun! Speaking of cute and fun, thanks for that adorable "beary" cute Valentine! We both loved and enjoyed it, especially how you decorated the envelope :) Ice like that is dangerous and I'm grateful we don't need to go out when it freezes like that! The trees look lovely I agree- from INdoors! LOL Savannah has good taste in her Serta sleeper and looks mighty cozy on it too! LOL Pets are all pampered in this day and age :) Hopefully the 3-6" of snow we may get tomorrow will soon melt with the coming warmth next week! I'm ready for spring now!

Flowers, presents, and balloons, too - how fun is that?! And ice like that can be so damaging. Hope all is well with you, and that it doesn't come back. Love the pic of "Sleeping Beauty!" 8. I love your sweet cards, Brenda and your pictures. We got the ice here in CT too. I can just picture the sun shining on the trees and making them sparkle like diamonds. Thank you for sharing and stay safe in the next storm. I am not happy to hear we are going to be getting more snow here in CT (ours is all gone) but if it is going to get warm next week it will all be gone again. I am SO ready for spring and summer! Hugs, Kristie

As for your ice? Brrrr thankfully we haven't had it that cold where we live in the UK, I know some have, we have been lucky. Crikey, the branch sticking to the drive! That IS cold!

Your Savannah is such a beautiful furry friend, looks worn out after her outing LOL.
    Have a Great weeekend

  11. Yep, the scooter is a cutie, and I think each of the cards is the same. IMHO, #3 is just perfect as is...great coloring too. Love the background on #1(purple) and love the design layout on #3. (makes me think of sunny Italy, riding that scooter in the sunshine.)Pinky with the balloons tied on, and the way you've done the dp arrangement is great too. It has lots of 'perspective' in the design, like it's waiting in a corner to go for a ride! Good job on each card, and they are anything but 'simple'. Enjoyed the pictures, and I'm so glad you stayed inside to enjoy the 'diamond view'. Hope you don't get a lot of bother with this next predicted snowstorm. The 80+ and sunshine in Fla. is just gorgeous. I think it's raining at home! Big hugs & TFS. Pats to Miss S. Glad ya'll got some good walkies to tide her over to better weather. Also happy you got the hacked mail fixed

  19. I agree that the scooter is so cute and reminds me of the sixties and my misspent youth lol! I love the way you gave it such different looks on each card Brenda and it will be great to have these in your birthday pile. Your pictures give me a chill but I'm glad to see Savannah curled up and warm in her bed.

  20. I love that scooter, Brenda. You've done a great job with many several cards using it. My favorite is the purple - primarily because I just love purple! Your dog reminds me of my German Shepherd nephew, my younger sister's dog. He's a sweetheart too.

  22. Ooooh, boy, that was a lot of ice!! My sisters in Iowa have been suffering with the ice for weeks now. It's been a cold winter all around, which should make whoever said "this will be a warm winter like last year" ashamed of himself, lol!

Your scooters are all so beautifully showcased on your card designs, Brenda! I'd love to have one, too, mine in turkoyce, please! And Savannah really is a Sleeping Beauty! As long as she doesn't trip you, I'm so glad you have her for company and protection!! Love and hugs, Auntie
