Precious Boy-BBTB2 Challenge

Hello my crafty friends, I hope you all are having a wonderful start to your Monday! If it's Monday, then it is time for a new challenge over at BBTB2. And since our fearless leader, Susan, is now a new first time grandma, she chose our theme for this challenge. Can you guess what the challenge is? Yep, you guessed it, a baby project! So I made a very simple and plain baby card in the colors grey and yellow. I used the New Arrival Cricut cartridge and welded the elephant to the scalloped base (also in NA). Then I used die cut lower case letters from My Creative Time to die cut the word boy in the base layer too. I put this layer on one thickness of foam tape. Added some grey washi tape and a button with yellow twine. I believe my button is a greyish blue button, but the lighting was making it look grey. I will have to see it in better light to know if it will stay or not. lol But for now it looks grey to me so it went on! I also stamped the word "precious" above boy using a My Creative Time stamp. And that is it folks. Told ya' it was very simple and plain. Go over to BBTB2 and see what inspiration my design team sisters have for you. I have a sneaky suspicion that we might see a layout of the new grand baby! Then lets see your baby creations by linking up with us. Just make sure to use your Cricut since this is a Cricut challenge.

As always thanks for taking the time out of your busy day and stopping by to see me. I love your comments, they always make my heart smile. Crafty hugs, Brenda

  1. It's so cute! It's also stunning. The yellow and gray look so sophisticated. The washi tape looks perfect. (I never know what to do with that stuff) A fabulous card. (I think the button looks gray, too)

  4. a great card, I am surprised I don't see more people use the technique of keeping the negative of a cut and using it for the card. I was out for a walk yesterday and saw a house painted yellow with white and gray trim. It was definitely bright. The colors look much better on a card. enjoy the week.

  17. You've done it, Brenda...created a new definition for 'cute and adorable' with this darling baby boy ellie card! Nothing 'simple and plain' about this; rather, it's sweet, fabulous and guaranteed to bring joy to new parents! That elephant is sheer delight, with its round little body and uplifted trunk. Yes indeed, super wonderful! Wishing you a wonderful weekend! We're off to the 'city' - my husband has to work for a few hours, so I'll do a bit of window shopping until he's done, then we're off to Costco! Yayyyy!!!
