You Are Amazing

Hello my crafty friends! Are you all staying warm here in the lower 48?? Believe it or not it is snowing as I am typing this up! Yes, SNOW!! lol Sigh  I guess old man winter has arrived, and early too.  I don't think it is going to lay any because the ground hasn't gotten cold enough yet. Thanks goodness for small favors. lol

Ok enough, I didn't call you here to tell you that it was snowing at my house. Some area's have gotten a foot of snow, I'm just thankful it wasn't us! I do however have a couple of cards for you today. They are simple little cards that didn't take much effort on my part. Love that, don't you?! First one is for my son who is at college, think he will have a fat head after receiving this card?! lol He is amazing, courageous, lovable and awesome, so I had to tell him so. The second card is a birthday card for my granddaughter. I can't believe she is 6 years old! Time marches on doesn't it?! My cards were created using My Creative Time Products. Love Emma's products!! Her products make it so easy to create with. So that's all I have for you today. Thanks for stopping by for a spell and as always your sweet comments warm my heart so! Stay warm and I will see you again soon! Crafty hugs, Brenda

  1. Woo Hoo! I'm on time; in fact, I might even be commenter #1! Shocking! Old Man Winter has staked his claim here; not much by way of snow, but oh my, the temperatures have plummeted. This morning was -25C! Wish we had your cozy, toasty corn stove *grin* Your cards today are amazing! I don't think your sweet son will ever have a 'fat head', but if something would prompt that, your charming card will! Your love for him certainly shines through. As for your grand-daughter's card: how CUTE!! I hope you have a 'sturdy stance' when she receives this, because I imagine she'll be launching herself at you to give you a gigantic hug! Love both of these; heart-warming in every way!

  3. Your sons card is CAS but very beautiful Brenda, he will be pleased with it I'm sure of that. And your granddaughter's card is such a cute design, she too will be very pleased. Thank you for your loving comments on my cards always. I particularly liked what you wrote on the bonfire card that you like how my mind works, this made me smile Brenda because I cannot tell you how many times in my life there has been someone who told me that I have a twisted mind and way to much imagination. When I was around 10 years old my teacher told my mum I lived in my own fantasy world and that my fantasy was on the loose constantly. No need to say I was also the clown of the class LOL LOL So now my imagination has finally gotten a destination in my cards. Strange it took so long since I only started making cards about 2 years ago.
Have a nice remain of the day my friend, here it's already 23h almost off to bed. See you, big hug, lots of love, Veerle xxxx

  4. These are great reminders to your family that you think of them often, and love them dearly! Who cares about a big ego? Knowing you are loved means more than anything, so I think your son will love his card. Your DGD will love hers too, and I love the shape of the card! These are both great, and I wish you warm days ahead! I agree - it's too early to snow yet! Somebody missed the memo about autumn having a few more weeks before it gives way to ole man winter! lol

  5. NOOOO to snow!!! A little bit is ok but just not a lot! It just seems so early in the year for old man winter to hit!
I love both of these cards and know that son of yours loved the first one and the granddaughter loved the second! I always forget about this store and am bookmarking it right now!
    Stay warm up that way!

  6. Both of your cards are fabulous!! I absolutely love the inspirational card for your son!! And what a sweet card for your granddaughter!! I love the shape!! We had snow here today, too. Ugh. So not ready for it. Thankfully, it didn't stick around for long. But I fear it will be a long, bitterly cold winter :( I hope you have a wonderful evening :)

  9. You are the sweetest mama and grandmama, Brenda! Both your college boy and your young granddaughter are going to cherish their cards and they will both feel on top of the world after they see them! I hope you are able to stay in, stay dry, and stay warm during this early Polar Express (and that you don't get any more snow for a while!) Hugs, Darnell

  11. Hi Brenda,
I'm down the shore in Jersey so no snow here yet, thankfully! Not so sure I am ready for all that cold and snow. Being in Texas for those 2 years spoiled me and saved me from all that wintery weather! As for your cards, your son will definitely get a fat head lol... but, nothing wrong with a proud mama letting her son know how much she's proud of him and loves him! And your granddaughter will surely enjoy this card as it has her age on it! Kids at that age love anything! You stay warm my friend. Miss you!
    Hugs,

  15. I can just feel the love that went into these cards, Brenda ... the crisp white and blue for your son is fabulous ... and how cool for a little one to get a six shaped card for her birthday! They'll each adore their own! Hope the snow holds off ... stay indoors, toasty warm ... and card making! Hugs, Anita :)

  17. Well, I'm sure I don't need to tell you that I'm not sorry to be missing out on winter weather. I just can't believe how early in the season the snow has shown up. I would be so depressed to see it that early. It has been cooler this fall than any previous year we've been in Florida. I love both your cards. I just love MCT products for whipping up a quick card. Your granddaughter is going to love her birthday card. I have one turning 6 next year so I'm going to have to remember this idea. Stay warm, my friend.
