Plane & Simple

Hello my crafty friends, I have a quick post for you today. I will be putting up corn tonight and have to get my chores done for today. I made a CAS card using My Creative Time stamps and dies as well as some snippets. It is a plain card, but I love the way it turned out. I was thinking about saving this one and sending to DS at college but then I thought it might embarrass him to get this with having 3 other room mates. Would you send this if you were me?? Maybe I should just save it for hubby and stick with funny cards to DS. I just don't know....Anyway thanks for stopping by for a spell today and as always your comments always make me smile and I so appreciate you coming by. Now it is off to work I go....Crafty hugs, Brenda

  1. Lovely card Brenda :) I think that I would send it to him just in another color :) But hey pink is in for the guys now right, it's an expression of your love to him :) Hve fun putting the corn up tonight, we've been doing our share the past week and the corn is so sweet this year :)

  2. Oh YES!!! By all means send it to him! Even though he has room mates they won't see his mail and I just know he'd love getting this from home. SO CUTE! Love everything about it! Perfect!

  6. Beautiful card huni but I would not send it to your son. Give it to him the next time he is home or you visit him - that way he doesn't have to worry about his room mates and friends seeing it - but it looks like I'm in the minority here. It is a really lovely card huni! Karen xx

  7. You can never tell someone you love them too much, so I'd definitely send it! If you want to be more discreet, make another plane and put it over the sentiment in a way that he can lift it to see what's inside :) That's really a cute card with that fun paper airplane! I know how much fun you had putting up corn :) I've got to do some tomatoes tomorrow!

  9. Brenda it's an adorable card! I say yes, send it to your son. If you want to make his friends envious, put a few dollars in the card...lol!

  10. Love it, Brenda. I think that little plane is so darn cute. I say send it.
When I asked Gabe if he got embarrassed when his mom would gush all over him at baseball games this is what he told me.
"Mimi, everyone of these kids has a mom...and they all act just like that!" So even if he fusses about it, it makes him feel good.

  11. Do you know that in all the years we spent visiting my Grandparents' farms as kids, all the driving in various countries, both here and in Europe and all the travels past field upon fields of crops, I have never seen a corn stalk, with ears of corn, up close! Seriously: how ridiculous is that! I don't even know how many ears of corn a single plant grows! Yeeshh..looks like I'll *have* to visit you to get some education and first hand experience! I do know about shelling peas, and hilling potatoes, though...and picking berries. I could be 'reasonable' hired help *grin* Your card is super sweet, Brenda, and I say yes to sending it to your son! His room mates 'may' rib him about it, but we know, deep inside, that's just an expression of being envious. If my mom were to send me cards infused with love, I wouldn't care what colour they were, or what images they had...it's all about the essence. Yours has the essence of love - and that, my friend, is all that matters! You are such an awesome mom (and corn putter-upper, too!)

  13. I like it very much, and he better NOT be embarrassed to get a sweet card like this one!!! Love your stitched elements, and the wonderful design. You're on a roll girl. I can see you're gonna be spending a lot in card postage this fall! TFS & Hugs. MM
(I don't think he'll mind one bit getting a card from home either).

  15. Wow, I really like this, Brenda! It's the sketch we were just using the other day, isn't it? How fun!! It's only for you to say about sending it to DS. I think I would have sent it to mine, crossing off the "I" and putting "we," but each kid is different and you know best how your DS would feel about it. I think it's a sure bet your DH would love it!! I can't believe you're putting up corn already. I heard it was a bumper crop this year, so that's good! Hugs, Darnell
