Another NBUS!

Hello my crafty friends, I have another simple CAS card for Darnell's challenge of "never been used stuff". I got the die to die cut this cute vintage typewriter but hadn't used it yet. Oh boy I am so loving have a die to cut this baby out! It has stitching on the "paper" that is in the typewriter, how cute! Anyway the typewriter (which is popped up), sentiment, paper plane and plane "tracks" are from My Creative Time. I used some sequins and popped my white layer up on my white card base called it done. Simple, simple and very fast! Well fast if you don't drop the stamp and have to go looking all over creation for it. I was panicking for a while and then decided to pray to St. Anthony and of course he came right through for me and I found the stamp in the trash can. It must have bounced off my leg and right into my full trash can!!! It never fails, when I lose something I will just pray to St. Anthony-he has never left me down yet! Anyway go check out Darnell's blog, you will be greatly amused and walk away with a light, happy heart and while there why not join in on her challenge. She has some awesome blog candy up for grabs! Thanks again for stopping by for a spell, you know how much your visits me to me cause you know I only have men to talk too and my men don't talk much!! lol Until next time...crafty hugs, Brenda

PS: Loved your note of how you lost the stamp and St Anthony 'found' it for you, Brenda! I too have prayed to him for lost items and they have miraculously appeared ~ got to love that! Have a Blessed day :-)

  9. This is so fabulous. I think it's so cool how, with a little dimensional foam, you really made that plane pop and stand out. White on white is a favorite of mine. I can't believe you hadn't used that typewriter yet. This is really an awesome challenge to use unused products. Heaven knows we all have them. Sadly, mine are all packed as we're on the road again. We sold our camper and we're making the move to Florida permanent. Love knowing I'm not the only person that loses their items as they're crafting. I can't tell you how many times I've dug through my trashcan looking for missing stamps, only to find them stuck to something else I put away. Now I take a tip from Emma's designer, Teri, that I saw on her videos. She gathers all the items she's going to use on a design and places the products into a bowl at her craft area. I haven't lost anything since I started doing that, too. Thanks for your inspiration, my friend.

  11. This is awesome, Brenda! I lost a bird yesterday just as I was about to stick it on the card! I hunted and hunted and found him on the other side of the room! I'll have to remember about St. Anthony. Hope I don't keep him too busy!

  12. Aw, man, this is just sensational. You are really getting into the CAS cards. Love the typewriter and the stitching on the note, and that plane is so adorable. I liked the design of having the typewriter paper folded into a plane, sailing over to say Hello! You'll have to source these dies, (and stamp) cause I've not seen either of these, and you know I'm a die addict! Great card, and purfeck for the NBUS Challenge. WTGo. TFS & Hugs. MM

As for blogger not playing nice today......I've been feeling like I'm back on dial-up for the past few weeks or more! I see that little circle spinning when I try to sleep now! LOL

  14. Brenda, I think this is one of the cutest cards I've seen. I am, of course, smitten with the typewriter since I started my work career using one just like this... and oh that darling paper airplane. It's just precious. I love it.

  15. Your posts are always such fun, Brenda! What a fabulous card ... the monochrome is so cool, perfect with the typewriter image ... and the plane with the heart trail ... so cute! St Anthony will do that every time ... how busy must he be for all us crafters?! Anita :)

  16. This is a fun card. I like the typewriter (many younger stampers are probably wondering what that is) and the note flying away. Great card.

  17. *Fist pump* YES! You have totally rocked this stamp/die combination! My typewriter die just arrived and oh my, what a different it makes to that stamp! And your paper plane is sweet (reminder to me to use mine soon!). Fabulous, wonderful, super darling card!! St. Anthony...isn't he the best! I often ask for his help when things are lost (including my attitude, sometimes!!) and he always delivers. Love hearing about your connection with him, which just adds to the long list of things that make you such a special gift to all of us! Gosh darn, but you are such a treasure!! Hugs ~ c
