UR Out of this World

Hi my crafty friends, sorry I haven't posted in a while. Been in a little funk, but I am on my way out of it. lol Plus I've started mowing grass. I love to mow, but not in the cool air and our air has been a little on the cool side. We did get up to 68 and 70 for 2 days, but a cold front came in after a thunder boomer so tomorrow we are only to be in the 50's. On the cool side for this time of year for us. I have a feeling that this summer is going to be a cooler one. So might be enjoying the hot tub more than the pool. Hope not, but only time will tell.

Ok on to the matter at hand. This is the card that I made for Chris, the boy who has cancer again. I wanted to let him know how amazing he is. So I kept my card clean and simple. Well I don't know if a card has pattern paper on it still means it's a CAS card. But anyway it is still pretty simple. I used paper from DCWV All About Boy's paper stack. I stamped a little spaceship from a birthday stamp set from Paper Trey Ink and colored it a little with my Spectrum Noir markers and the sentiment came from it too. The "u & r" came from My Creative Time called "Any Day Bingo and Crossword Stamp Set" and the stitched square came out of something I die cut out from My Creative Time, sorry not sure what it was. I used my SU corner punch in the large and small corners, layering them and placing them on my card  to draw the eye in to the spaceship. I stamped "out of this world" under a martian spaceship, thought is was a cute place to put it. And that's it. I didn't do the inside because I wanted space to write in it.

I want to thank you for stopping by my neck of the woods and visiting with me. I hope you have enjoyed your visit and hope that you will come back again soon. And I will try to get some projects up for you. I hope you all are having lovely weather and are getting crafty. Until next time....crafty hugs, Brenda

  1. Glad you are feeling better, Brenda. This card is adorable. Great paper and I love the spaceship. I wish you plenty of 75 degree weather in the future. Our highs are in the low 80's this week with no rain.

  2. Very cute card! Your design is definitely CAS. There's lots of white space (which does not have to be white - just open space), and minimal embellishments. The patterned paper is fine for a CAS card. It cracks me up that you love to mow :)

  8. Glad to hear that you're feeling better and the thought of you mowing grass makes me smile! We used to help my grandparents (years ago) with mowing, and oh, the memories! Your card for Chris is guaranteed to lift his spirits and brighten his day, as it has mine. Your heart-warming gesture in creating this for him has my eyes misting over! You are just soooo incredibly amazing!! Hugs~c
