Here is a card I made using a practice piece from when I got my Glimmer Foiling Machine. I cut off what wasn't so great and kept what was decent going with a tag shape. Just my photo isn't all that decent, but you can at least see what the design looks like. Hard to see, but I embossed the background with a WR embossing folder. Use come Ohuhu alcohol markers in pale colors to add a bit of color to the flower and leaves, added a sentiment and that was it. This card was sent to my aunt in SC for Mother's Day.
I know I've been a bit MIA again, so much going on here. But I should have caught up with some of you and the rest I will be getting to soon. As always, thank you for understanding.

I'm sure this photo doesn't do your card justice, Brenda. I can just image the wonderful texture from the embossing and the shine from the gold foiling! Your auntie will treasure it! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty Brenda - and with the foiling, I know it shines, shines, and shines some more! I love the "tag on a card" look like this and yes, I can see the embossing in the background too. Loving all the pretty flowers. I know your aunt loved this card too!

What a wonderful card you made here for your aunt for Mother's day! That sentiment is just beautiful and so much nicer than the usual mother's day greeting! I love the delicate foiling and pretty little flower and stems on the tag - it's just a wonderful creation. I still have not tried the foiling technique yet, so you're way ahead of me in that learning curve! Enjoy the rest of this week and I love all the cheerful flowers on your blog too - they just make me happy :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely card with the pretty flowers! Happy to hear that your son spoiled you for your birthday and Mother’s Day! We are having perfect weather here and I hope it comes your way very soon! I wish I could bottle this weather, lol! Take care hugs!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great way to 'save' something that didn't turn our as desired, Brenda. I must remember that and look at my bloopers with wiser eyes :)
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, and i love the subtle colouring on the flower

ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful, I love the pale colours and pretty flower die, and design Brenda. Good to hear you were spoiled on Mother's Day. Ours was in March, we follow the religious Mothering Sunday, so it's a different date in March each year.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week.

Love the tag and your creation of it and that sentiment is perfect for it.
So glad you had a nice Birthday and Mother's Day.

Oh, hello lovely to you! Brenda, thank you for popping over from Michele's blog to visit me. I do appreciate that you took the time. And now I have the opportunity to visit you and find such a pretty card and others as well. We craft when we can and always enjoy it. Have a beautiful day!
ReplyDeleteLove the design and light colors you used to create this card. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteDon't fret about the being busy. I am just managing to get the posts done myself. The gardening and yard work not to mention the cleaning and reducing of years of "stuff" collected.
Love, Hugs and Blessings
A really pretty card Brenda, I’m sure your aunt loved it. You’re not the only one being busy and lacking blogging time! xx
