Hello my crafty friends, I hope your weekend was a good one. Bret had a little get away weekend, so I was on my own with the pups for the first time since this whole ordeal with my knee. We did well and it sure helped that I could put some weight on my leg. Of course the transport chair always comes in handy for letting them out and getting my simple meals.
Back with two bee cards made back in early summer, still using the digital papers I printed out a few years ago. Such pretty papers, so using up every piece I can, these are all snippets, except for the card bases. Stamped and colored my bee's and die cut some cute flowers to use. I even dug out some border punches to use which I haven't used in a long time. Love them, but you know how you go in spurts with crafty supplies!. What's old is new again! lol
Card Recipe:
Nitwit Digital Collection: Bee-lightful for the digital paper
My Creative Time: for the bees and flowers, sentiment mat and I think the sentiment
Martha Steward border heart punch
Fiskars border scallop punch
Spellbinders Hemline Stitch circle die

Adorable and fun cards! Love the happy colors and papers, Brenda! Those bees are just too cute and sure to bring a smile to the recipient!
ReplyDeleteThese are such cute bee cards Brenda! I love the soft pastel blues and yellows and I too love my border punches, especially those little hearts on the 2nd card! I'm so glad you handled everything on your own and I'm sure it gave you some added independence while Bret was away! Continued good health during the coming heat wave, and now maybe you'll be able to enjoy your pool again to cool off! Have a great week ahead! Huggerz
ReplyDeleteFun cards, Brenda! Love the cheerful paper and the adorable bees, die cuts and punched edges! Two card that are perfect to bring smiles!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you did great by yourself when Bret was gone. That's wonderful. These are cute as can "bee". I love those punched borders and the bee on the first card is adorable.
ReplyDeleteYour digital papers are really adorable - as are the BEES! Such happy cards, my friend. REALLY love this pale aqua gingham, with the pastel yellow honeycomb!
ReplyDeleteI have a small box of those punches from Martha Stewart! They sure were the precursor to dies, weren't they? I still use the triple butterfly one quite often!

Hi Brenda,
ReplyDeleteoh snap I have to sit to do any cooking now with my hip being so bad.
I had to buy a perching stool but found my hip still hurt so changed into a noraml stool.
Also my knee sometimes hurts too.
I do so hope you are soon able to get about easier soon as I know it's a painful time for you.
I love your wonderful cards and there beautiful designs.
Bees are so popular at the moment, and what a great way to use up snippets also.
Here's hoping you are soon pain free.
Lots of crafty love and gentle hugs fro my house to yours. Jenny L.
Two adorable cards Brenda. Love the papers that you've used on both cards. It's fun to use older supplies and tools. :) So happy you are doing well with being on your own. Love, Loll
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are really cute. Partial to the first one but both are well done.
ReplyDeleteEither one will make someone smile.
Hugs and Blessings,
Jim
Hi Brenda
ReplyDeleteLovely fun cards .. .. I love the papers and especially the cute bee on your first card. Lovely to use up those snippets isn't it.
I think I could craft using just snippets for at least a year!! I am over-run with them. But I love the challenge of trying to use them all up.
Pleased your knee is improving gradually.
Love Jules xx
Two fabulous cards, Brenda. It's good to sometimes get out some of our older stash to use, occasionally I find things I forgot I bought. lol xx
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness that is one of the happiest bees and I love the papers and layout too on both your cards. Those little flowers with the dark centers are a terrific embellishment in the DP and white.
ReplyDeletePopping by to say I am thinking of you and hope all is well? Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving such a kind and friendly comment, which is really appreciated. It is so good to be crafting again x. Sending hugs x.
ReplyDeleteThese are really cute cards, and I like the color combo!
ReplyDeleteI love bees - indeed they the Manchester Bee is our local emblem! I can see why you love these pretty papers, Brenda and your little bees are so sweet. I'm pleased to hear you are progressing well with your knee and I hope the pain is getting better.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
