Hi my crafty friends, I hope your Monday is off to a great start! Hubby went to work this morning so that is a good thing. He has been doing half days for now. Tomorrow is chemo day so he won't go back in to work until Friday. His pump will be put on tomorrow afternoon and will come off on Thursday afternoon. He always feels like he has been freed from prison when that pump comes off. lol Anyway enough chatter, lets get on with it.
Our sweet design team sister, Kelly, gave us the challenge to make a wedding or anniversary project for this week at BBTB2. This challenge comes at a good time for me as we have a son getting married on June 13th. I got my inspiration from this card on Pinterest. The Cricut cartridges I used on my card are George and Basic Shapes for the lettering and Bits and Pieces for the hearts. It was a very simple card to make and didn't take long at all. I sized everything in Design Studio and then cut it out. Easy peasy! I used stickles on the hearts that aren't embossed and on the letters as well. In real life it sparkles so pretty! I using Swiss Dots embossing folder on some hearts and the top of my card. I also popped up each of the larger hearts with the smaller heart glued on the larger heart. The layers are popped up on foam tape as well with the Mr and Mrs glue directly to the card base. So what do you think of my white on white wedding card? Now it is your turn, go check out what inspiration my design team sisters have for you and then you make a wedding project and link up with us! I can't wait to see what you make!
As always, I appreciated you taking time from your busy day to visit me. Your comments always make my day that much brighter!! Crafty hugs, Brenda

I know I should not say this, but your card is my favourite Brenda! The concept of white on white is always classic for a wedding card. I also like the cartridge you chose as almost every Cricut owner was either given this cartridge with the purchase of their machine or can access it for free in the Craft Room or Design Space. Way to go girl!

Wonderful news to hear that Dwayne is working; doing something he loves is one of the best medicines there is. And a wedding coming up...how fabulous! I can just imagine the excitement building as the day draws closer. Your card...oh my, such a card! The white on white, with the images you've chosen, is classy, elegant, exquisite! The newlyweds will love it, as do I! Talk about unique and innovative, my friend...guaranteed it will be the prettiest, most thoughtful one they'll receive!

I'm glad to hear that he was able to work a half day, I can only guess that it can be good to have some brief distraction in midst of the treatments. Keeping fingers crossed that next chemo will go smoothly.
ReplyDeleteThe white on white wedding card is so beautiful, Brenda, the design and the textures are fabulous!
Happy Saturday, sweetie!
Love and hugs

love the white on white, it really turned out beautifully. I can't seem to create with white on white, maybe it's the embossing that sets it apart. I am going to have to save this idea, I think your card came out great. I can tell your creativity is back! Hope your and your husband have a great week.
ReplyDeletemaureen
Thanks so much for stopping by, my sweet friend! Hope the two of you are doing great...and wedding bells on the horizon! I'm off to bike races tomorrow; actually, I wound up working a race today, which was not on my agenda! I went to watch for a bit, and was handed a clipboard, a pen and a 'please, will you help' request, so...what could I do? I had fun; hopefully, tomorrow will run smoothly!
ReplyDeleteHugs and love!
