Hello my crafty friends! Happy Monday to you all. As you know Monday is the start of a new challenge at BBTB2 and I'm the host this week. My challenge to my DT sister and to you is football. My house was always filled with all guys since I have 6 boys and my hubby, and let me tell you it is all about football once fall rolls around. Me, not so much so, but I'm out voted. lol So I watch a little, not really getting football, but know when a touch down is made and such. lol So I surf the net while my guys watch it. A few of my son's played football. My youngest son played from pee wee league to 9th grade. So I am working on a football album for him. He saw a football album one day in AC Moore and wanted me to buy it to make him an album, so how could I say no?! So here is a layout that I will add into his album. It looks a bit plain because I only put one photo mat on it. I haven't decided on what pictures I am going to use on this layout so that is why I only put one mat down. I hope that once I get the pictures on, it will look better to me. But it is done and it is going in his album anyway no matter how it looks with the pictures, he will still love it.
I used Artbooking, Gypsy Font and Plantin Schoolbook for this layout. I used fall colors since it is fall. So let's see your football projects, make sure to check out my DT sisters projects, you will sure to be inspired by them! Thanks for stopping by today and sittin' a spell with me, I always love when you stop by! Here's wishing you a crafty week this week. Crafty hugs, Brenda

Super cute Brenda :) I'll have to breakout that cartridge and get a layout done for this challenge :) I got some new football pictures of our grandson in his senior year.
ReplyDeleteDon't know much about American football, Brenda (football here is what you call soccer!) ... do know that these layouts are so fun and perfect for documenting your son's football years ... I'm sure he'll love it! Thanks so much for all your lovely comments following the BABES trip ... they warm my heart! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteThis is great Brenda!!! Love all of the different colors. And that page with all of the words-fabulous!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a splash of a layout. At first I thought that chevron page was done with the sizzix die that I'm seeing. Then I read the post. Really like the colors & designs you have on this project. You're a whiz with those Cricut cartridges! This is great! TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeletethanks for a great challenge this week. Perfect for me as I have lots of 49er football pictures. However, with a vacation a few weeks ago, I didn't have much time to put something great together. Love how you used the Artbooking cart for the layouts, I have yet to try that one on the right, it must have taken ages to cut. You scored a Touchdown this week for sure!!!

That's a great layout that any football fan is sure to enjoy! I love all the arrows and especially the cut words that are all about football! NJ!
ReplyDeleteI think it's wonderful that your son wanted you to do this for him! It's going to be a wonderful book of memories for him!
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to football, I'm a complete ding dong! I don't watch it until play-off games roll around; Grey Cup here in Canada happen in a couple weeks, so I imagine I'll have that on in the background while I craft. We watch Super Bowl, too...more for the half-time show than anything else (that's me, of course. My husband loves football). I'm not a hockey fan either; give me baseball any day! Your layout for your son's album: awesome! Now that you've made that 'first step,' I'm sure the others will come quickly. He'll love this, as do I!
