Teen Birthday Card

Hello my crafty friends,  I hope this Saturday finds you doing well and enjoying your day however it is that you wish too. This is a scheduled post as we are enjoying our granddaughter and the granddaughter is enjoying farming with her Papaw! lol They are harvesting wheat today, so quiet exciting for her to ride in the combine and tractor.

A friend emailed and asked all her friends and family to shower her son who is soon going to be a teenage with birthday wishes. So I was happy to send him a card. I used The Guys Stack from DCWV for my card base. Then I cut out a 3x4 journal card using a MCT die, then using a MCT star die, I cut the star out. I made it into a shaker card. I placed all sizes of MCT stars and his age on the front. I stamped my sentiment on the front and then moved to the inside. I kept it simple and sweet. Added two stars and stamped a birthday sentiment and now it is in the mail. My inside sentiment is from Cardz TV stamps. I hope he likes my card for him, I tried to keep it boyish. Thanks for stopping by for a spell again today. I hope you all are having a fabulous weekend!! Crafty hugs, Brenda

  11. How wonderful that your granddaughter is spending time with you, and that she's part of the 'harvesting' crew! Actually, I'm amazed that you're combining already; in Northern Alberta (my relatives farm up there), harvest doesn't begin until the end of August or early September. You and Grandpaw are making wonderful memories for this girl of yours, just as my grand-parents did for me when I was growing up. I loved 'helping' (getting in the way, more than likely *grin*) with milking cows, feeding the calves and piglets, riding the tractor, hauling bales...I wish more kids could have such experiences. Just set aside the 'technology' and go enjoy nature. Anyway, that's a whole other topic! Your card for the young man: perfect!! Great colours and images: totally 'guy' in every way!
