Well since we are into May that mean that Mother's Day is just around the corner. So I need to get busy with some cards that I want to send to some special people. Not my mother, but mother figures to me. So here is my first one. I used a kraft card stock base, got some snippets out my brown snippet bin, cut a border using MCT Fun Stitched Edges die. I added that onto my patter paper edge and then added that to a white mat. I then stamped my wreath with MCT Pretty Spring Wreaths stamp set. Added my twine and bow, then stamped my sentiments from the Pretty Spring Wreaths stamp set. Using the flower only on the inside, I stamped them under my sentiment. Added some bling on the front and inside and call it done. I do wish I had moved my wreath up a little bit. My inspiration for this card came from here. I was lucky in winning two of Emma's new stamp set! Love them, love all her products! Sop back by on Monday and I will have another Mother's Day card for you. Thanks for stopping by today, love reading your comments, they really do make my day. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and since it is National Scrapbooking Day tomorrow I hope you get to get crafty! Crafty hugs, Brenda

Hi Brenda
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful Mother's Day card. I love that Spring wreath very much.
Ours came and went in March here. In fact March was a very busy month as it holds my birthday, wedding anniversary and Mother's Day! Far too much celebrating for one month LOL!!!
I hope you have a lovely weekend.
Love Jules xx
Brenda, that wreath is outstanding!!! I had to go look that one up and may have to throw it in my basket I think! Very pretty and love those delicate colors you used. A beautiful card.

Glad to see you put your winning stamps to good use, my friend. This turned out just lovely. I made one almost exactly like it to give to one of my aunts for Mother's day. Great minds think alike. LOL I hope it starts warming up for you soon. I'm so sad that our time in Florida is almost over. We had back to the great North next week. I'm going to miss the warmth and sunshine.
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful, Brenda!! I love the flower wreath!! The stamps you used look so gorgeous!! Love this!! Have a great weekend :)

ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful wreath, Brenda ... so pretty and deliciously feminine! Love how you took the outside to the inside ... it's equally lovely! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so feminine, soft and pretty, and that wreath is so delicate with those tiny flowers! I love how you "hung" it on the twine and the bling adds the perfect touch! If we can't have perfect weather, we can at least have perfect cards, right? Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove this delicate & pretty in pink spring wreath. The hanger adds such a sweet touch, and I am so loving that pretty paper, and of course, you know I'm drooling over that stitched scallop die. Your inserts are always so prettily decorated too. This is just a delightful card. Happy wkend, and hope the sun is playing nice up your way. It's gorgeous here in SC. TFS & Hugs.

ReplyDeleteBrenda, your card here is exquisite! You've showcased the MCT wreath and flowers beautifully (I think their placement is perfect), and the scallop strip along the edge, with the pretty paper is soooo eye-catching! Whoever you have in mind to give this to will be blown away by its beauty, and especially your thoughtfulness. Gorgeous, heart-warming and certainly 'made with love.' Big applause that you won some of Emma's products! By the way, she has a Mother's Day challenge going on now, so scoot this gem over there! She needs to see the magic you've created with her products! Love this!! Hugs~c
