Hello my crafty friends, how your Wednesday is going well since you are halfway through the week. It's much cooler here, like 20 degrees cooler and very, very windy. I've just heard my empty outside garbage can fall over. lol Anyway I have a simple but cute card for you today. It is another CAS card. Over at Cardz TV, Mary had a post about a little boy who has cancer and she was asking for cards to be sent to him. Here is the link to Mary's post. How could I not send this sweet little boy a card? So here it is. I went with the ice cream cone because I thought who doesn't love ice cream?! I die cut my cone and assembled it, then I stamped the dotted box on to my pattern paper, which is from JoAnn's. The dotted box is from My Creative Time called Small Talk stamp set. In the open spot on the box, I stamp a sentiment from Cardz TV called Sugar Rush. I used a regular sized homemade enamel dot made from pony beads for the cherry on the cone and I used a Peachy Keen face stamp on the ice cream. I also die cut the little gold stars from this die. Finished off my card with some small home made enamel dots at the top and bottom. One off white, one yellow and one white. One the inside I used another sentiment from the Sugar Rush stamp set. I really hope that you all will consider sending this boy a sweet card to brighten his day. And if you scroll down on my blog you will find another boy who is fighting cancer and would love to have a card from you too. If just a simple little card brings joy to these children, why not do it?? I know when I'm sick a card always lifts my spirits.
As always thank you for stopping by today and visiting with me. Your comments always bring a smile to my face! I also hope you will stop back by again soon. Hope you have a great finish to your week! Crafty hugs, Brenda

OMgosh Brenda this card is just scrumptious! Now I've been seeing these homemade dots, I'll have to give it go soon myself I think that red one really looks good on top of that cone :) he's gonna love it :)
ReplyDeleteYou've worked magic with the MCT cone and PK faces - two of my favourite combinations that I haven't visited in quite a while! Once again, you've created a sweet card guaranteed to plant a mega-watt smile on the young boy's face; as for me, grinning from ear-to-ear at how CUTE this cone is! Absolutely adorable in every way...oh, and look at that dotted frame...another extra special touch! LOVE this x a zillion! As for the cool and wind - same weather here. As the saying goes: if you don't like the weather in Alberta, just wait five minutes.' Hugs to you; have a fabulous day!!

Brenda,
ReplyDeleteThis is so so cute. You are right, who doesn't love ice cream. The glossy topping looks yummy! The weather here I like to say we have four seasons. Hot, hotter, hottest and boiling. Today we are about at the hottest season. LOL
