Hello my crafty friends, happy TGIF to you all! I don't know how the weeks fly by so fast, but I do know that I still love when the weekends come. I don't work anymore so not sure why the weekends still excite me, but it does. lol Maybe it is because I always know hubby will be home and working on the farm. Or the kids would be home for the weekend. I love when the family was all together.
I want to give a shout out to some new followers. Thank you for following me and I should that I've gotten back to your blog to follow you too if you have one. I hope you leave here inspired and happy that you visited. I love visitors and I love your comments. They always make me smile and I have made many friendships too. Don't you just love the crafty people on the blogs?! I do!!
It is time for the Cardz TV Card Team to have a challenge. Our theme or challenge this time? Why Easter of course! I love all the cute bunny and chick Easter stuff but I also love to take the time to reflect on the true meaning of Easter. So my card will reflect that today. Using my Cricut and the Easter 2010 cartridge, I cut out the Lily's three time-once in green and twice in white. I cut the flowers off the white die cuts, I popped up the middle of the flower I cut out and then glued the whole works onto the green one. This cartridge doesn't have layers so you have to make your own. I then glittered the flowers with sugar glitter in Lily white. My cross is a Darice embossing folder, I embossed it and cut it out. Then taking black ink and ran across the embossing. I stamped my sentiment from Easter Blessings Cardz TV stamp set. The inside sentiments are from the same stamp set. I love this stamp set as it is perfect for a more religious Easter card. I kept my card simple and plain. But love the way it came out. Now it is your turn, go see what inspiration my design team sisters have for you over at Cardz TV and then make an Easter card and link up with us. You just may win some stamps from Cardz TV. So what are you waiting for?! As always I thank you for your visit and hope you will come back again. Crafty hugs, Brenda

This is so pretty, Brenda. I absolutely love how you inked over the embossing to make the words on the cross the focus of the card. It is truly wonderful to reflect on the true meaning of Easter and the blessings we have because of the sacrifice made.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful way to use this embossing folder, Brenda! And I love the Easter lilies!
ReplyDeleteThose glittered flowers add such a touch of elegance to this pretty Easter card! Well done Brenda - it's quite lovely!
ReplyDeleteHi Brenda~the joys of family being around on the weekends is something I love, too. We live four hours away from my family (too far!) so weekends (not enough!) when we visit are incredibly special. I'm already counting down the days to our next trip for Easter. Your card is so beautiful; visually, with the details, images (oh, those lilies...) and layout you've selected, and 'thoughtfully,' with the lovely sentiment! Yes, the bunnies, chicks and chocolates are wonderful, but time to reflect on the real meaning is ever so important. Thank you! Hugs~c
