Hello my crafty friends, happy Monday to you all!! I hope your week is starting out great. It is a chemo day for us and we have been blessed in that we aren't going to chemo in the snow anymore. lol Hubby is doing well, but had to take our little dog in to the vet last week. She has diabetes, so now I need to give her 2 shots of insulin a day. I think we are falling apart around here. lol She is doing so much better now that she is getting the insulin and I'm very thankful for that and for how well hubby is doing! We are indeed blessed.
I am host this week for BBTB2 and I have given my design team sisters the challenge of any kind of Easter project. Easter is this Sunday, so I know you all are busy getting those last minute Easter projects done. I have been working on my grandchildren's Easter cards, so that's what I have for you today. This is the first time that I made them all the same. Usually I do something different for each one. And even though they are the same, they are different too. I used different colors for each child. I still have two more to get done and will probably work on them after chemo today. I used the Cricut cartridge Spring Holiday Cards to make the cards. I love the one that says "some bunny loves you" because we sure do love these little precious ones. That saying that grandchildren complete the circle of life sure is true! We adore spending time with the little ones and plan on doing just that this week by dying eggs with 2 of our granddaughters. Other granddaughter is to young at only 2 months old, 2 are in NY and the other 2 we don 't even know where they are. So we send love to them through the good Lord. Now aren't these cards just too cute?! Plain, but still cut to me. I used google eyes for them and little pink crystals for the nose of the bunny. I think the grands will love them cause they are cute and a little bit funny. lol Now it is your turn, link up your Easter project with BBTB2 and make sure that you follow our simple rules. Thank you for stopping by to visit with me a spell and for your sweet comments, they always put a big smile on my face. I hope your Easter is a blessed one and the day is gorgeous! Spend time enjoying the real meaning of Easter and hiding those Easter eggs! And don't get a tummy ache on all the Easter candy. Crafty hugs, Brenda
So glad to hear that your hubby is doing well with the chemo! And Yay for not having to fight through the snow to get to the treatments! I say this as it is spitting snow here-sort of winter's last little hurrah, but my daffodils are bravely standing strong! The Easter cards are darling (love the goggly eyes you added) and I'm sure your grands will LOVE them! Have fun dyeing Easter eggs! (My boys still like to dye eggs even as teens and preteens!)

These are adorable, Brenda. The girls will love them. So glad hubby is doing well and your little dog is doing better. I hope you are well, too.
ReplyDeleteYou asked about my advent frame. I bought it from Silhouette America around Christmas. It's usually $40.00 but they had it on sale. With the sale and shipping it cost $31.00. It came put together but in shipping it wasn't very sturdy so hubby glued and renailed and braced the corners. It's an easy way to change things up quickly.
Sorry, probably more info than you were expecting. lol
These cards are precious! Love the eyes!
ReplyDeleteThese are just darling, Brenda. I love that the design makes it so easy to create multiple cards :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love all of the different colors and patterned papers. They are so fun. Praying for you all. Sorry I've been absent lately. I hope you and your family have a Happy and Blessed Easter.

Laura

Hi Brenda - we've just returned from a most fabulous visit with my family (my 4 year old niece and 2 year old nephew are becoming more and more precious each time I see them!), and finding your comments have made the sadness of leaving more bearable! You are such a treasure and delight; each time your name pops up with a comment, my day is immediately filled with sparkle! I hope your Easter was excellent, and that this week (actually, all weeks!) sees you happy, energetic and, hopefully, if time permits, delighting us with a card or two! You're incredible - a gift and blessing in my life! Huge hugs~c
