Get Well Soon-BBTB2 Challenge

Hello my crafty friends, I hope you are having a great Monday. We are off for chemo this morning. Half way done!!! Now hubby will be glad when it is all done! So if today is Monday, then that means it is time for a BBTB2 challenge. I have to tell you that I goofed up royally. As I'm posting my project to the BBTB2 post, I realized that I totally forgot a word on my card. So I will be re-doing that part! lol I couldn't believe that I had missed that until I was posting. Didn't miss it when I was taking pictures of my project. No, now I realized it. Duh to me! So I will be fixing that!! So our sweet design team sister Emily, who is very talented to I might add, gave us the challenge of making a get well card. Well just so happens that I need some get well cards and my inspiration for this one came from Mary over at Cardztv. So here it is, one that I have to fix. Grrrrrrr......Don't you just love it when you do dumb stuff like this and please tell me I'm not alone?! Ok so I used B is for Boys Cricut cartridge. I did a Joy Fold base for my card style. I cut my bigger band-aide at 1.50 inches, and my "owie" at one inch. I used some generic stamps for my words, and what words I didn't have in them I masked off letters and made my work. Like for heard...I had the word hear, so I stamped hear and then took the word do and masked off the o and stamped the d on the end of hear. Clear as mud?? Only I forgot the word "have". Yeah, pretty dumb, but that is me. lol  I placed another band-aide on the inside cut at 1 inch. My outside band-aide is popped up on the left side so my "owie" flap can tuck behind the band-aide.  Since I wanted a masculine card, I used more masculine papers. Please go over to BBTB2 and see what fabulous inspiration my design team sisters has for you.  Then go to your Cricut and make a get well card and link up with us. But please remember this is a Cricut challenge, so you must use your Cricut. Thanks for stopping by for a spell today, I hope you got a kick out of my mistake, I know I did! Thanks for your sweet comments and I hope to see you back sometime to visit again. Crafty hugs, Brenda

  10. Oh yes, I seem to do the goofup a lot! Actually I probably would not have noticed if you hadn't 'fessed up. I think the eye substitutes what it expects to be there. Love your fold and I'm liking the DP that you've used here..especially the board planks. The subtle stripe looks great with that design. Love that giant bandaid too. Glad that Monday is over for ya'll, and hope the storm doesn't mess up the pump on Wed. TFS & Hugs

  16. Brenda, your card is so awesome! You could always make it fancy speak like Shakespeare or such, by adding 'have' at the end, thus: "I heard you an owie have." Bwahaha! Those bandaids are terrific!!

It's also terrific that your DH is getting there! He is well on his way through this ring of fire to where he can be well again. It's a tough time for both of you and I keep you in my prayers. You are both an inspiration with your lightness of spirit and senses of humor during a difficult time! Big hugs, Darnell
