Thank You

Hello my crafty friends, I wanted to take the time to thank everyone who has left me lovely comments along with hugs and prayers while DH and I make this journey. I am touched by all the wonderful comments and emails, I so feel the love and the prayers. We will get through this!!! With that said DH had his first round of chemo yesterday and is on his pump. He did get a little sick feeling and still doesn't feel so hot. Understandable as the chemo kills the bad as well as the good. Thank goodness he hasn't gotten really sick (yet) and I pray he doesn't. We go for a cat scan tomorrow on his lung and then go and get the pump removed. Then he is good to go until the 22nd which will be round two. Week on, week off.  Keep those prayers coming my friends!!

I also have some very simple and plain thank you cards that I sent out to people who have done things for us since this journey began. They had to be simple and plain because I just didn't have the time to work on something more. But I think they turned out nice and made for a nice thank you card. At least everyone has said they loved them and I really love them. I made these in "mass production" when DH napped. I cut my bases and layers one day, then stamped my layers one day, then punch and assembled my pumpkins one day, etc. I needed a lot and couldn't just be in my room the whole day, so I worked on them as time allowed. I also popped my pumpkins up on one dimensional.  I used my oval SU punch and the modern label SU punch to make my pumpkin using only scraps, so all my pumpkins where different. These are just a few of them. My chevrons were stamped with MCT Build a Chevy Background stamps and you can get that set here. The sentiment is also MCT, Vintage Sentiments and you can find those here. I kept the inside plain because I wanted to write in the cards. Kraft card stock for my base and a white layer. So there you have it, very plain, but I think pretty cute too. Less is better right? As always thanks for stopping by and visiting me today. Crafty hugs to you from me-Brenda

  1. These are just darling. Good for you that you had time to relax a tiny bit to create these. I hope you realize, no one expects Thank You's for any little thing they've done...everybody has an idea of what ya'll are going through just now. It's very thoughtful of you to think of doing this, and love that each of your cute punkins have a different pattern. Hugs & hope he feels better today. TFS & Prayers

  4. Hi Brenda,
Yes, I will most certainly keep the prayers coming. The Grace of God will get you through this. Chemo is tough. My brother was diagnosed with Leukemia when he was 3, and I remember very well the side effects from Chemo and radiation (not fun).
But thankfully he got through this and is now a young mad and cancer free (Praise the Lord) and your hubby will get through this as well. Your cards are cute. Sometimes simple is the best way to go, love the pumpkin.
    Many hugs to you
    Stacy
