Hello again my crafty friends, I'm back with my second post for today. If you are looking for my Cardz TV post, just scroll down. It's time for a new challenge over at Jo's Scrap Shack for the Funday Friday challenge. Our theme this week is Floral's. Our sponsors are Limited Run and Bugaboo. I'm showcasing for Limited Run. I picked a digi called a flower with ladybug. I used the latest Mojo Monday sketch for this card. It a tall and skinny card and I used one of their measurements for the card base. This card went together very fast and easy. My papers are Lola and Luca from the Paper Studio at Hobby Lobby. Love these papers! I put glossy accents on the ladybug, my sentiment is a SU stamp set and my sentiment shape is the Chunky Jar Accessories. I am in need of many get well cards so I will be making more using this sketch. My talented design team sisters have lots of inspiration for you, so check them out over at Jo's Scrap Shack. So find your favorite floral's and make a project, then link up with us. The rules are simple and you can find them over at Jo's Scrap Shack along with what prize is up for grabs. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with! Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you didn't freeze while visiting me in PA, it sure is a cold one again and more snow is in our forecast. Lucky us! lol I know that spring is right around the corner and will come soon. Crafty hugs, Brenda

Glass Etching-BBTB2 Challenge
Hello my crafty friends, hope your Monday is off to a great start. As you know if it is Monday, then it is time for a new BBTB2 challenge! Our talent design team sister Maureen is host this week and she has chosen for us to use any Cricut die cut as a stencil. I decided to use the Gypsy font and George and Basic Shapes cartridge dies for my stencils. I am using a glass jar that is left over from a candle we burned. Yep, I save all my nice glass candle jars to reuse! Some kitchen jars as well, lol. They come in handy at times. I got my monogram from Gypsy font in the B, S, and L. I made the L bigger than the B and S as I was going for a monogrammed look. I arranged them to my liking and then took an oval outline from George and placed around the BLS. I welded it all together and then cut it out of contact paper. After doing my weeding, I placed my images on the jar with the help of transfer paper. Put my etching cream on and let it do it's thing. Washed it off and this is what I ending up with after taking the stencil off. I made some brown sugar scrub and placed in my jar, it now sits in my bathroom for me to use. I liked it, but DS came out with the jar wanting to know what it was, he thought it was ear wax! Say What?!!! Where would I get a jar of ear wax, silly guy! Someone wasn't using their noodle on that one! Hubby wanted to know what I was making so I told him brown sugar scrub and then he wanted to know what I would use it for. He was thinking along the lines of baking. Uh, sorry but no. lol Can you tell he is spoil when it comes to goodies to eat?! Not sure if this is what will stay in the jar, but whatever I put in it will look great! Now let me tell you my design team sisters have amazing projects to share with you, so go over to BBTB2 and check them out. Then pick out a Cricut die cut that you would like to use as a stencil and get crafty, then link up with us! You know we love when you get your craft on. Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I was up too. It was a lovely visit and I hope you will come back again soon. Crafty hugs, Brenda

Funday Friday Sketch Challenge
Hello my crafty friends, I hope this Friday finds you well. We have had a nice week with only a touch of bad weather. We even got pretty warm a few days, with a little thunder shower to boot. And the rain smelled like spring!!! Oh yes spring is right around the corner even though we have lots of snow on the ground. I can't wait to be outside a lot!!
You know if it is Friday then it is time for another challenge over at Jo's Scrap Shack. This week we have a sketch. Here is the sketch:
You know if it is Friday then it is time for another challenge over at Jo's Scrap Shack. This week we have a sketch. Here is the sketch:
Our sponsors are Stamping Chef and Stamp Art Designs. I chose a beautiful digi from Stamping Chef to color up this week since my team is showcasing their digi's. I love, love this digi and I had so much fun coloring it with my Spectrum Noir markers. My card base is a 5x5 from white card stock. I used my SB's Nestabilities for my scallop and for my circle. While my digi was in my circle die, I sponged the background with Tim Holtz Antique Linen distress ink. I even use some vintage photo to "water color" a darker color on the "faith" banner. I used some stickles on the candle flames and some glossy accents on the melting part of the candles. My sentiment is from Monday's release of 3 Twenty Stamps called Simple Sentiments. I use the masking technique to split up my words. My wavy sentiment banner is cut from a border die from My Creative Time called Fun Stitched Dies. My darker pink background paper came from the Garden Party DCWV stack. Plain light pink cardstock is my next layer that I stitched around with my black pen. I didn't use a bow like the sketch has because there just wasn't any room on my card and I didn't think it really needed a bow. I may add some pearls or buttons yet, just have to look at it for a while to decide. lol That's it, such a simple card and simple sketch and I just love how my card came out! I hope you enjoy it too and find some inspiration here today. Please go over to Jo's Scrap Shack and see what inspiration my design team sisters have for you. The take the sketch and make a crafty card or layout and link up with us! You know we love it when you get crafty with us! Thanks for stopping by and visiting with me today. I always love having company and hope you will come back again soon. Crafty hugs, Brenda

Let's Get Patriotic! BBTB2 Challenge
Hello my crafty friends, it's Monday and that means is it chemo day this week and time for a new BBTB2 challenge. Our sweet and talented Laura has given us the challenge of getting patriotic since it is Presidents day. Our soldiers are near and dear to my heart as I have a soldier. I don't think our country takes good care of our veterans and would like to see our soldiers and veterans taken care of better. So this card is in honor of our soldiers past and present. I was inspired by this card that I saw on Pinterest. I used the Cricut cartridge Stand and Salute to cut out my word "freedom". That is the only Cricut I used on this card. I used My Creative Time Stitched Star dies for my stars. I layered them with a pop dot between each one and staggered each one. It is attached flat to the card. My papers are from Hobby Lobby, the Paper Studio. My sentiment is from the My Creative Time Happy Homecoming. This card was fast to put together with cutting the angles of the paper being the hardest part. I love the way it turned out! Now I hope you will check out the inspiration my design team sisters have for you and then come and get patriotic with us!! All you have to do is use your Cricut and then link up with us. More detailed rules are over at BBTB2. As always thank you for stopping by today. I hope you will come back later today as I will have another post for you. It will be a blog hop so I hope you will hop with me! Crafty hugs, Brenda

A New Grand-daughter!!
Hello my crafty friends, I have no crafty projects that I've made today but I have some precious photos to share with you and some beautiful cards to share as well that were sent to us. First off we are grandparents again!!! Our sweet little girl came into this world on St. Valentine's Day while a snow storm was raging outside. Our DIL went into the hospital a few days early with some minor complications so was there before the snow hit thank goodness. Would have hated to see them have to get to the hospital in a snow storm as they got 28 inches there. Because mommy was having some problems the high risk doctor decided to induce her early. So our little girl is only 5 lbs 13 oz, but she is perfect!!! No problems with her lungs or anything. And she is as sweet as she can be!! Here she is, isn't she just adorable?!! So precious! We got down to see her yesterday. They live just across the state line from us.
Next I have to show you my beautiful family, including all the DIL's and all the grands but two. Sadly we don't get to see then or even know where they are. I am hoping one day they will want to know us and will come find us on their own. Here is the rest of my family and yes there is a lot of us! lol This was taken at Christmas, everyone one came home to check on how dad was doing with his chemo and such.
This pic is one that hubby wanted to recreate. We have a family pic of us and our youngest was probably only 3 at the time. So we hung a blue blanket and everyone one in the same spots as the original picture except for our youngest, he is just to big to sit on my lap anymore! lol Our sweet DIL used her nice camera to take these pictures for us. Here are my guys:
Now I have to share some cards with you. In the mail we got this sweet card. It was mailed to Grandma and Papaw, yep you guessed it. One of our sweet grand-daughters mailed us a Valentine!
This next Valentine came from my sweet Momma Mary. She is an awesome Copic color-er and she makes some of the most beautiful cards. You really need to go check out her blog!! Oh how I love her!
Thanks for stopping by today and sharing in our joy! I hope you are having a great Sunday where ever you are and that you are toasty warm! Spring is just around the corner! The days are getting longer and we even saw a robin! So I know it is coming now! lol Crafty hugs, Brenda

My heart background paper came from an old K&Co paper pad, my top note shape started out as a scrap piece of paper that I adhered one inch snippets of similar colors and then ran through my Cuddlebug with an SU embossing folder. After that I ran it through my Cuddlebug using SU's top note die. I love doing this as you can use up left over snippets and have a unique background. I used MCT's Stitched Sweetheart & XOXO dies to cute my hearts out of my top note shape, then I re-cut the hearts to fill back in with other snippets of paper. I stamped my wine glass and wine bottle from the 3 Twenty''s stamp set called Happy Harvest. I colored them with my Spectrum Noir markers and then I fussy cut them out and glued them down and then put glossy accents on the glass and bottle. I placed a cute MCT Fun Sized Stitched bow in the corner using another snippet. For my inside I used a snippet of the bow paper and some tiny hearts from the Stitched Sweetheart & XOXO dies. My sentiment comes from the sticker sheet from the K&Co paper pad. Thanks for stopping by for a second time today, I so love when you stop by and visit with me a spell. Crafty hugs, Brenda

Winter Wonderland!
And the snow just keeps coming! Some area's have 16 inches already, I think we have between 14-16 inches. It has lighten up for a while, but will curve back around and dump another 6 inches or so on us. It is very pretty out and I'm not going any where today, so let it snow! lol Just wanted to share some of this beautiful snow with you all. I don't mind the snow as long as I don't have to be out in it, but I am so ready for spring to get here. I think I have had my fill of the snow! And what is so funny is today is mine and hubby's anniversary. The day we got married it snowed and we had to make our own tracks in the snow to the magistrates office as the road weren't even plowed yet! Very fitting to have snow today. Hubby told me that day 21 years ago that it was good luck if it snowed on your wedding day. It must have been because we have had a blessed 21 years together and I'm looking forward to 21+ years more! I hope where ever you are you are warm. If you are shoveling snow please be careful and don't over do it!! If you have an older home, check those roofs, they are having roofs collapsing from the weight of the snow and power outages are happening as well. So just beware and if you hear any funny cracking sounds, get out of the way and if you lose power I hope you have a generator or can so to a center to keep warm!! Better safe than sorry. Enjoy the pics everyone and come back tomorrow as I will have two posts for you tomorrow! Crafty hugs, Brenda
Back of our house looking out to the pool and fields
Looking over into our neighbor's back yard.
Our neighbor's house. The '96 blizzard the snow drifts were up to his windows.
Looking out front down our road and yes there is a road in there.
Across the road from us at my BIL's house.
Looking up towards the farm on the side of our driveway side of our house.
