Hello my crafty friends, it is Monday again! Were do these weeks go?! Anyway it is time for a new challenge over at BBTB2. Our sweet design team sister Julie challenged us with "Wedding Bells are Ringing". Well they will be ringing at my house in June of 2014, #5 son is getting married! So for my card, which I will save for DS's wedding, was made using the Art Philosophy
Cricut cart for the heart doily, which I heat embossed with some glitter embossing powder, the wedding couple is from the Wedding Solutions Cricut cart. I dry embossed my card layer and layered onto an A2 size card base. I'm not sure the maker on my embossing folder. I kept everything pretty much white, except for my wedding couple and the "glow" of the embossed glitter. The inside I stamped with a SU sentiment, the "Mr. & Mrs." is a MCT stamp/die set. That is it! Simple, easy peasy! Please go check out the awesome projects my design team sisters have for you, there will be lots of inspiration for you!! Then follow our simple rules on the side bar and link up a project with us. We so love when you get crafty with us!

Digital Dessert Fridaze
Hello my crafty friends, Happy TGIF to you all!! Today is Digital Dessert Fridaze over at My Paper Crafting. For my digital stamp I used "Too Many Candles". You can always use extra birthday cards and I thought this digi was too cute! I made a tri shutter card base and used papers from an all occasion stack from My Paper Studio. My sentiments came from My Creative Time except the sentiment on the front with the digi-that is included with the digi!! I colored my digi with my Spectrum Noir markers, love these markers! I used SB Nestabilities for the mats on my digi. I apologize for the quality of the pics, I waited to late in the day to take my pics and by then it was raining out. Please go check out what awesome projects my design team sister's have for you today, they are all so awesome!!! Then while you are at My Paper Crafting pick up the free digi Melin has for you today, color it and link it back with up with us. We love when you get crafty with us!!

I used my Spectrum's again to outline my jar. I embossed my tag with my SU clouds embossing folder. I use my Fiscars grass punch to punch the grass. That's it folks, stapled my ribbon and and I was done. Go to My Paper Crafting and see what inspiration my design team sisters have for you and then make a tag or atc of your own and link up with us. Office Supplies-My Paper Crafting Cricut Challenge
Hi my crafty friends, today at My Paper Crafting our challenge is office supplies. After thinking about this for a long while and not really liking anything I came up with I decided that I would decorate my grand-kids art bin. Now I know that an art bin might not necessarily be office supplies, but around it it is. lol Just think of it as office supplies for toddlers. I keep this little art bin around with these items in it for them to play with when they come over. I have to hunt up my pencils for them, so they aren't in the bin yet. lol I used Locker Talk for my pencil, crayons, and scissors. I used the Pooh marker font for the word "markers". I tucked in some black paper behind the drawers and then attached the icons on the front with some ATG tape. I think the grand-kids will get a kick out of their little tub now and they are all set with some new crayons and new markers, plenty of coloring books too. I do however want to get them some books to write in and draw in. Won't you go check out what my inspiration design team sisters have for you? Then why not make your own "office" project and link up with us. We so love when you come and get crafty with us!! Thanks for looking!!

Man-Up - BBTB2 Challenge
Hello my crafty friends, I hope you all had a great weekend. Our weekend was a good one up until Sunday. I got a call from a dear friend that her husband had passed that morning. Can I tell you that this friend and I met on the Cricut mb through the One Hour Challenge thread. There was 8 of us who remained close friends after the thread stopped. Well Vickie was one of that eight. We all have been through all of Vickie's husbands medical needs, we were praying for Larry. But Larry passed because God knew he had had enough. So God took him home on Sunday. I know that Larry is in a much better place, with all his family who have passed before him. I'm happy that Larry didn't lay and suffer for long, God was good. Vickie knows that Larry is in a better place too, but of course it is still hard losing your best friend. Please keep Vickie and her family in your prayers. She is a strong woman and I am in awe of her but she is going to be needing support for a while. Thanks everyone!
Now onto my project. Our super sweet and oh so talented design team sister, Jayne has given us the challenge to Man Up here at BBTB2!! lol She wants us to make a box or bag for a guy. Well you would have thought that this would be easy for me since I was the only girl out of 7 guys. It wasn't. lol I just couldn't think what I wanted to do. Then I decided that I would make a box for my son who is deployed in Afghan for Father's Day. Of course I will make my other son's who are fathers one too. I used Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 for my box. I used some brown military paper since he is in the mountains and were this type of uniform, to place on my box, I made a rosette out of it using Tim Holtz's rosette maker. I used My Creative Time ticket die and stamps to put sentiments on the box. I am going to put some dark chocolate in the box for my son since this is his favorite kind of chocolate and send to him for Father's Day. I kept this box plain and simple because of how far it would be traveling. Now I thought this box would be just that, a box, but after cutting it out I realize it was more like an exploding box. So I used some tape on the inside to "connect" each panel together so it stayed a box. If this isn't the way this box is supposed to cut could someone tell me because I have obviously done something wrong. lol I hope you all will go check out the great inspiration that my design team sisters have for you and then get crafty and make a "man up" box of your own. Use your Cricut's and link up with us, we love when you come and get crafty with us!!!

Little Diva! Digital Dessert Fridaze
Happy TGIF my crafty friends! It's Friday so that means it's another Digital Dessert Fridaze over at My Paper Crafting! I used the digital stamp "QT Patootie Taylor", isn't she just a little diva?!! lol That's what I thought and she reminded me of some of my grand-daughters, so I made this into a very simple, but cute birthday card. I colored her in using my Spectrum Noir markers, not real happy with her hair, but I will give it a go again. I think the extra "texture" with the lines made me goof up, so I will just have to practice that. I'm not real great with the markers but I think my coloring will pass as ok. lol I used MCT's Vintage Stitched Label die, I cut out my digi with it and then used it for a shadow as well. I cut it in half and place half on each side of the digi. I kept this card simple because I wanted the digi to "shine" through and because I loved the blue and white together, it is crisp and clean and just screams summer to me. Now I will have to color me some more Taylor's for the rest of my grand-daughters. lol Go over to My Paper Crafting and see what my design team sisters have for you, I'm sure you will find tons of inspiration there! Then pick up the free digi Melin is offering, color it up and link it back up with us. Your name will be entered twice for using one of Melin's digis!! Have another digi you want to use-that's ok too, your name will still be entered into the drawing. Have a wonderful weekend my crafty friends, and while you are at it continue to keep Boston and the victims of this weeks bombing in your prayers. Thank you!

Books! My Paper Crafting Challenge
Happy hump day my crafty friends! I am an avid book reader, whether it is on my Kindles or a physical book in my hands-I love to read! I read more in the summer time than anytime, you might think that is a little backwards. Well I guess it kinda' is. lol But for me, I love to sit by the pool and read under my umbrella or I will sit and read on the patio and let the warm sunshine shine on me-sometimes I will fall asleep out there. lol I just love reading outside, kicked back in my lounge chair-listening to the sounds of summer in the background! Of course I read in the winter too, just not as much as I do in the summer. Now what does all my babbling about reading have to do with our challenge at My Paper Crafting?? Our theme is books! I kinda' was at a loss at first on what to do. First I was going to decorate my Kindle cover, changed my mind about that. Then I remembered a set of wonderful stamps I have for making teacher cards and I was off and running. I used the Hello Kitty Greetings Cricut cartridge for my book cut, a Cuttlebug die for my photo corners and then my sentiment stamps from Paper Trey Ink. A very simple but effective card. Please so see what my design team sisters have made, they are so talented and you will be inspired! Then read about the changes and such and join us in this challenge. It really was a challenge for me at first! lol I hope you like my simple card!

Precious Baby-BBTB2 Challenge
Happy Monday my crafty friends! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!! Today is a BBTB2 challenge and our sweet and talented Caroline has chosen our theme "welcome baby" for this week! Well spring is the time for a lot of baby animals to be born. She didn't say it had to be a human baby either. lol She just said to use any baby Cricut cut to make a baby project, so I decided to play on the Imagine for this card. My pattern paper and my die cuts come from the Imagine Cricut cartridge Nursery Tails and my yellow paper is from the scrap bin. I think Nursery Tails is just the cutest cartridge and has a ton of cute baby images for cards and scrapbooks. My little button is from My Creative Time as is my sentiment, my ribbon is Stampin Up and my twine is from the Twinery. Don't you just love this cute little duck?! I think it is so cute! I love the cattails too, and of course the butterfly. I popped up the cattails and the butterfly for some dimension. The pattern paper is really cute too but you really don't see much of it, the little flowers in it are so cute, then there are little green dots as well. Click on the picture and you might be able to see it a little better.
Please make sure to check out what my wonderful design team sisters, they have some really awesome inspiration for you! Then why not take the challenge with us? You have one week to link up with us and please make sure to use your Cricut's since this is a Cricut challenge.

My Paper Crafting "I Feel the Love"
Hello my crafty friends, April's "I Feel the Love" project is about the Butcher family. It is heartbreaking to say the least and it hits home to many because the wife was a design team sister for My Paper Crafting in 2010. Please read their story and take the time to send an uplifting card, this family sure could use some uplifting.
For my card, I kept it simple because I think simple is just best in these kinds of situations. At first I was going to make a card for each child, but thought there was only 2 children for some reason. So I went back and checked it out and found out there are 4 children so I opted to do a family card. I used the Create A Critter Cricut cartridge for my heart rainbow. The embossing folder is from SU and my sentiment I found in a book so I typed it out and glued it in for what I hope is an uplifting message to the family. My card is the typical A2 size. Now I want to get this in the mail but before I do I wanted some advice from you all. I was thinking about putting the sentiment "thinking of you" on the inside curve of the rainbow, do you think I should??
Please go over to My Paper Crafting and see what my design team sisters have made too. Make a card and link up with us! We love when you come and play with us and this gives you a chance to uplift this sweet family too!!
I Feel the Love Project- April 2013
The Butcher Family
Ryan (11), Ed, Ally (5), Debbie, Mady (3), and Kyle (9)
This is Ed's story:
In May of 2012, the Butcher family received the news that no family wants to hear. Ed, husband and father to four young children had cancer. He was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer and lost his hard-fought battle on February 24, 2013. Some of you may know Debbie as she is a member of our crafting community. Debbie is a former member of the Cooking with Cricut Design Team where she shared her talents during the Fall term of 2010. You can find her work on her blog at Workin' Scrappin' Mom of 4.
It is my honor and privilege to ask my fellow crafters and anyone who reads this blog to join me in sending cards to Debbie and her children for the month of April.
These can be individual cards for the kids:
Ryan (11), Kyle (9)
Ally (5)
Mady (3)
or for
Debbie
They can also be cards for the entire family.
It is completely up to you.
If you would like to be a part of this project...
All you need to do is:
Submit your hand crafted card/s by April 30th to:

April Showers-BBTB2 Challenge
Hello crafty friends, hope you had a wonderful, warm weekend! As you know it is Monday and that means it is time for a new challenge over at BBTB2. I'm hosting this weeks challenge and I've chosen an umbrella from any cartridge on any type of project. I chose to use the Cricut cartridge Nate's ABC for my umbrella cut. This is an A2 size card, I cut my image at 4". I used a cloud embossing folder from SU and embossed my background. I cut my grass with a Fiscars grass punch. I didn't put a sentiment on my card because I'm not sure just yet what I will use this card for. I used glossy accents to make my boots shiny and around the water puddle as well as some rain drops on the umbrella. And that is it folks! A simple little card was done in a flash. Now please go see what awesome inspiration my design team sisters have for you and then think about using your Cricut and join us by linking up with your umbrella project!!

Clowning Around! - BBTB2 Challenge
Hello crafty friends, I hope you had a blessed Easter! Our Easter was low keyed and very nice. Time for another BBTB2 Challenge and this week our super talented leader Susan has chosen for us to use the clown off of the Teddy Bear Parade cart or any cartridge that has a clown on it, you know-for clowning around on April Fool's Day. We also are starting a new feature at BBTB2 and that is every month we will have a guest designer, how exciting is that?!! For the month of April our guest designer is Nadia Herbst-McConnell from With Glittering Eyes. If you don't know who Nadia is you must go check out her blog, she is a very, very talented paper crafter!!! Also please go check out what all of my sister designers have down with their clowns, you will be amazed at all the fun projects! Then if you have the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge or any clown from any cartridge make a fun project and link up with us at BBTB2!
Here is my card, I of course used the Teddy Bear Parade and cut my cute clown at 4 inches and used scraps from my scrap pile. I put him on a "Z" fold card base. I stamped my sentiment which is from CardzTV "Good Times" and planned on embossing it white, but oops I picked up the clear embossing powder instead. lol So I just stamped it down the card base and embossed it all in clear. Then on the inside I stamped another sentiment from the same Cardz TV stamp set. For my next mistake, I smudge my inside sentiment some when I stamped it. So this card is full of mistakes, but I still think it is a cute birthday card for a child. lol So it will go in my stash for when I need a card. Children seem to over look my mistakes. lol
